Motorola Android

Lenovo-owned Motorola is trying to hard to keep its new flagship under the wraps but to no avail. As leaks have it, the upcoming Motorola Moto X (2015) (model name XT1542) will feature a 5.2” Quad HD display and will compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G4 flagships.

The Moto X (2015) will sport a 1440 x 2560 px native resolution on a 5.2” AMOLED display. Under the hood, it will house the 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 mobile chipset paired with the massive 4GB of RAM.

Update, 05 June: We've just received this second image taken of the same phone (model name XT1542), which lends even more credibility to the previously rumored specs.

This core hardware will easily run the earlier rumored Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and also support the 16MP rear camera. Up front there would be a 5MP camera. To store content, Moto X (2015) will make use either of 32GB or 64GB.

Motorola will pack a 3280 mAh battery inside the Moto X (2015).

Unfortunately, we don't know anything about its launch schedule.

Motorola hasn't been known for producing phones with stellar cameras (e.g. competing with the likes of the iPhone, Galaxy, or G-series); here's hoping that third time's a charm! Can't do worse than HTC with the M9, though....

I hope they stick to the 1080P for the 5.2 inch model, and keep the overall size of the device more compact. I believe one of the reasons Iphone 6 has done very well is because it weights relatively less than the competition, even if the screen size...

Actually, that's not true. The LG G3 was hacked to run 1080p and while framerate and benchmarks skyrocketed, battery life increases were negligible.
