Speakers are louder than most phones out there in the market today. Front and Rear cameras click nice detailed photos in daylight, average quality photos in artificial lights. Hope this helps.

Due to budget constraints I'm looking at the Moto X Play because of its specs and having some water resistance. But does it now have the Nougat 7.0 update or is it 7.1.1? Speakers any loud? Camera good in low-light and photos not dull or bland or washed out in daylight?

there is a lot of heating issues , it gets heated up for small games also
the phone hangs quite frequently
i would advice to remove this from ur buying list as it isnt worth it , u can get better smartphones for this price
totally disappointed with this device

Motorola has already done damage to its reputation of quick software update for not updating the moto x play to Android n. I think all are best for moto except to keep waiting the x play customers so long even after announcement of 7.1.1 update.

My Moto X Play was working fine before with Idea SIM card using 2G.
Since I started using Jio SIM I changed the network to 4G recommended. I still use the Idea SIM in SIM2 slot.
Very often I am unable to call from both SIMs. It says Call Ended as soon as you dial. Happens with both SIMs. After a while it starts working again.
Anyone has a similar problem? Is it going to be fixed with the next update?

got this phone for free 1 year ago after it was submerged underwater for 30 min. i was able to fix it and i am using it everyday with no problems. screen broke after a 50 cm fall, it was dropped at least 50 times after and will not shatter. battery lasts for 2 days but i use lineage os and no social media. best and most reliable phone i ever had.

Was really happy with this phone until with a stupid fall (less than a meter and with case) proximity sensor and front camera stopped working, screen backlight then speaker and now charging port broke, never buying this shit phones ever again. Lenovo killed Motorola.

Today my ear piece stopped working, and now I noticed the whole front panel is slowly separating from the metal frame on one side. I will never, ever buy Motorola again. Precious money down the drain. Used a Galaxy A5 2014 for a year. Never had any hardware problem like this. This sucks.
