Snapdragon 808 doesn't have 4k HEVC hardware encoding support, is it using some other hardware encoder?, any info will be helpful.
Very impressive specification even though hardly know how it would perform in real usage with new SOC which never used by any front line makers. Still its so overwhelming to know motorola made every efforts to make it meet every expectations of end users. But it would be so beneficial for end users if a new dual sim (dual standby) version with the same specification and additional finger print sensor released soon, as banking industry is all set to jump into revolutionary NFC based payment system within one year.
AnonD-293750, 30 Jul 2015And this matters why?????????Cause adreno 418 cant handle 1440p

Fingerprint scanner had be in the 1. generation Motorola Moto X. Motorola wanted to buy a company that produced this technology, but in the competition won Apple and bought this company. Competing solutions wasn't so good as the original fingerprint, so Motorola officialy say that their phones will not have fingersprint until have not quality as on the iPhone.
SDB, 29 Jul 2015810 is not by any mean the better processor.. In fact 808 is much more optimized, battery frie... moreThis is not what comparative tests say when comparing both processors, e.g. look at the Antututu scores::
- Galaxy S6 (Exynos 7420): 67,520 (for reference)
- OnePlus 2 (S810): 63,500
- HTC One M9 (S810): 56,836
- LG G4 (S808): 49,480
The OnePlus 2 is up there with the S6 thanks to 4GB of blazingly fast RAM. Even taking the M9 as a reference for the S810, there is a big gap of performance between the S808 and the S810, not least because LG, just like Motorola went with the higher resolution display...
Or just look at GFX Bench Manhattan on-screen:
HTC One M9: 56,836
LG G4: 49,480
Overall there will be a 15-20% difference in performance, which will be quite noticeable. This is the combined result of the higher resolution and inferior CPU.
K, 29 Jul 2015Someone at Moto has said that they'll never include a fingerprint scanner in their products. They already did. Motorola Atrix.
