AnonD-285148, 29 Jul 20155.7 inch screen! too big screen size for a phone moto! So next gen would be 6.7 inch?!!Not so fast...!
Even though the screen size is 5.7 inches, the dimensions of the phone are actually smaller or similar than most 5.5 inches phones!
For example:
76,2 mm for the Moto X Style (5.7)
77,2 mm for the Asus Zenfone 2 (5.5)
76,1 mm for the LG G4 (5.5)
77,8 mm for the iPhone 6 Plus (5.5)
And compared to 5.7 offerings:
77,7 mm for the Xiaomi Mi Note Plus
78,6 mm for the Note 4
In 2015 only Meizu MX5 (74,7mm), Meizu M2 Note (75,2mm) and OnePlus 2 (74,9mm) do better in the 5.5 inches department.
As such it will be very similar to most current 5.5 inches phones out there in terms of usability. Of course, if 5.5 inches is already too big for you, then this will feel the same (still 2mm less than iPhone 6 Plus...)

Seems like the OnePlus 2 will be the better offering. Not that it has better specs across the board but the 1+2 has a 10% larger battery with a lower resolution screen, better processor, a finger print scanner and a great camera (laser auto-focus, larger pixel size for good low light performance). It is also easier to use with 74,9 mm vs. 76,2 mm (though with 5.5 instead of 5.7)
What will determine the "winner" will be:
(1) Comparative battery time (Motorola likely to be at least 10% inferior due smaller battery and larger display with a higher resolution).
(2) Comparative performance (Motorola likely to be inferior due to less powerful processor and higher resolution display).
(3) Speed of charging the OnePlue 2 vs. Motorola (some sites claim 2h10min hours for the OnePlus, others 3h10min, while Motorola with its turbo charge could take as little as 1h20min).
I personally like the design of the OnePlus 2 better (especially the front looks cleaner) and the fact that it has a fingerprint scanner. The camera has laser autofocus and OIS and great lower light performance. The OnePlus 2 is also cheaper.
What could attract me to the Moto X is good battery performance (if it ends up being around 5 hours SOT, but I doubt it) and really long charging time on the OnePlus 2 (we will have to see how long this will take with newer chargers). I think turbo charge is really useful when you have to leave in a hurry.
Overall both are great phones. I would have difficulty going for a bulkier phone than what I currently use (OnePlus has 75,9mm vs. 76,2mm for the Moto X and 74,9mm for the OnePlus 2), even though the 5,7 inches screen on the Moto X is tempting. But for me it should not be at the expense of battery life and I actually would prefer to have a smaller frame that my current OnePlus One. But this equation may vary for others who are not heavy users or don't mind tricky one handed operation.
One thing is sure though, forget the iPhone 6 plus. 77,8 mm for 5.5 inches? No thank you. You don't enter the phablet segment by having the largest bezels and lowest screen to body ratio of any manufacturer (not to mention the antiquated 8MP camera).

i bought Moto X2 and I regret big time as its display screen is somwhere around $200 which is almost 80% of phones price.

Impressive screen-to-body ration and ridiculous thickness, 11 mm is a 2009's standard. Furthermore, the 5.7" display is too big for the regular user. I suggest that Moto X Style won't have market success, unfortunately.
No Gorilla glass 4!! I can't believe it.
TFT LCD in moto x style good or not?
