I have the moto x 2013 and loved it. That is up until the lollipop update (5.1). I could no longer recommend the moto x and certainly would not reccommend the upgrade to lollipop. The 5.1 ruined my phone. Hand gestures no longer work, charging takes longer, battery runs out faster, internet connection is not as good, wifi has to be done manually most of the time, hands free commands work only intermittently. the list goes on and on so think twice before going with a moto x with Lollipop.
I really hope this new Moto X will feature an USB Type-C (USB 3.1) port, so that this port can become the new standard for many devices and notebooks. I expect it on the new Nexus and possibly the new iPhone too.
It is under coming in market. all specification is unofficial. talk time is not available here. but, I think Motorola is a big reputed company for smartphone market in India.
Let us know, what is the actual price for this smartphone?
i have a moto x ;best smart phone i have checked ,you can buy this ,
I am happy with my moto X especially tauchless control and hopefully moto threat flagship just like sony did to xperia z by updgrading software more than 2years. I like the fact new moto comes with no wild beast snapdragon 810, but I suggest flagship like moto consider instal infrared for remote as the idea for smartphone now days is can be use for make our lives simple (no need looking for tv, ac remote).
I own the Moto X (2nd Gen). I really like this phone. It has really good build quality. I repair phones for a living. I can replace the battery myself, and I don't need a microSD card. I'm considering upgrading for the camera.
The lack of a memory slot is the one thing you shouldn't follow on Samsung/Apple.
its need memory expansion slot
Considering the fact that competition is meking statements, our flagship moto x3 has got to step up:
-128gb storage with expandable storage; it's just a must!
-4k display
-snapdragon 820
-fingerprint sensor (android m is here)
-improved camera (indoors, night)
-bigger battery power (4000mAh+)
moto x 2015 will also have 2 gb ram.
krishnendu, 25 Jun 2015Plz.....Motorola...give the SD card slot to the moto x 3rd gen ......the memory is the huge pr... moreI've heard it will came with expansion slot for storage
Plz.....Motorola...give the SD card slot to the moto x 3rd gen ......the memory is the huge problem to the moto x......and give a better battery power......(if the phone has not enough power then how should I use the funtion of the mobile).....& also the camera..... These are the improvement point.
screen
Bigger is not Better. Bring back the 4.7 screen with these specs.
Hoping upon hope for Qi wireless charging. Turbo chargers are great, but the only part that's failed me (other than glass breakage) on my phones have been the micro-USB plugs. The less use they need, the longer the phone can last.
What if there was an option for 2160p @ 60fps?1080p @ 60fps and 1080p slowmo......plus manual controls....lol. LG would probably do it first.
Anonymous, 12 Jun 20154gb ram it is not possibleit's in asus zphone 2 then why moto can't do it?
I'm really hoping for USB Type-C
can hardly wait!!!
yup every stock android feature provided by google will be there and also touchless controls will be a bit more iproved. on top of that you get a improved specd phone which is clearly listing in the flagship devices. its an amazing device. Now all depends on pricing and looks. Because expectations are very high from looks and design segment.
Sami boy, 16 Jun 2015Everything is just awesome about this phone except Snapdragon 810. This may fail this product ... morelike now, we know that Google have sold moto..... But i really want to know that do we get the same update fretures.... And other features which were provided by google...??
Another thing is that.... Do Moto X 3rd gen will also have the voiceless features than Moto X 2nd gen... Or it should be better that the 2nd gen...??
