Because Android's Linux kernel has further architectural changes that are implemented by Google outside the typical Linux kernel development cycle, such as the inclusion of components like Binder, ashmem, pmem, logger, wakelocks, and different out-of-memory (OOM) handling. Certain features that Google contributed back to the Linux kernel, notably a power management feature called "wakelocks"
Linux want tell Google anything but Google can stop any companies to stop making Android phones. But Linux is fully free.
We all need to respect Google.

Just a little correction.
Android is based on Linux, open source OS. Which belongs to all the people over the world :)
And that is the power of the open source.
BTW I am happy with my Nexus 4, hoping soon to receive Lollipop. But 6 inches are too much for my hand :)
Haroon maradia, 28 Oct 2014Using nexus 5 and very happy for nexus 6 was expecting 5.2inches I will have to go back to samsungYou should check the other devices moto's come up with this year - Moto X and the Droid Turbo
Nexus fan here...and I mean from first nexus to n5. My thoughts on nexus 6: the OS is great...no doubt. Hardware maybe too huge. A bit out of sync with traditional nexus. But who am I to refuse it. I think generally, and genuinely, the n6 is without a doubt a ground breaker and a phone of choice. I will get one in a heartbeat.

By the way have you started harbouring 4k porn??
Nexus 5-5 inch
Nexus 6-6 inch
I dont like the way they are heading :( i mean i still cant get over the fact that this device is huge. Go home motorola, you are drunk :/
Using nexus 5 and very happy for nexus 6 was expecting 5.2inches I will have to go back to samsung
Tcool, 28 Oct 2014LOL!
Of course you can say that because your baby doesn't support that important flexibility.... moreFor me, 64 GB internal memory is more than enough. No need any external USB OTG to store my files. Actually, can't we store files on the internal memory of a phone? Do we always need a USB OTG to access media files? Are all the iPhone, Lumia or Nexus users carrying a USB OTG with them?
Still your comment is senseless. Make your comments real world sense.
Tcool, 28 Oct 2014LOL!
Of course you can say that because your baby doesn't support that important flexibility.... moreRemember, no phone in the world is perfect. Every phone has its own drawbacks. So why don't you go and buy a phone which is 100% perfect for you rather than whining here.
All you got to say that SD card rant and Touchwiz features.

While the make a effort to give the best experience on the phone with Lollipop and for the fastest time line update, you are comparing the stock which is faster and original than the UI full of add on the Huawei.
Without knowing you are first a Android fan before you claim for your Huawei. They are nothing without Google. Let them playing to add options on what the most operating system used in the world for phones.

iPhone rock with more than 20 millions phone sold because those like the iPhone and Huawei Mate 7 sold 1 millions because those likes Huawei. But I will take the Mate 7 over any iPhone available not because I like Huawei but because of the OS.
Think well before you reply.
Tcool, 28 Oct 2014Yeah keep your OTG USB memory up to 64Gb hanging from your phone all the time and everywhere y... moreYour Huawei Mediapad X1 does use which operating system? Android OS right meaning it is probably running Android 4.4.4 and add on top some apps, options and features.
1. Without Android OS your Huawei Mediapad X1 is useless.
2. Base on Android the add more features, apps on UI and makes it slower than the Stock Android.
3. All those add need more time when come to release the update for the latest version of Android OS. You will always wait 3 to 6 month to get the update.
4. Google policy have change because they want the Android experience to be able for everyone. Reason why even though the Android Lollipop have made for phone that can run on 64 bit, which require at least 2Gb ram to be fully functional for the CPU to comes with 64 bit, Google make sure the Lollipop can also run on low end phone which have 512Mb ram only to give everyone the latest add on Android OS. Phone like the GS3 will not receive Lollipop while even the GS1 can receive the update.
You are fan of Huawei which depending on Android OS that belong to Google and give you the OS for free. So please some respect for that.

Animations, notifications, options are already available in midrange phones plus "Swipe screen shot"
But this one is a flagship phone and doesn't have the very useful swipe screen shot."
* The swipe screen shot is a Touchwiz feature. There is no rule that every phone should have Touchwiz features. Samsung is not the inventor of the Android OS. Whatever way you can still take a screen shot with the Nexus 6 as other phones.
* Animations? Here are animations on Android L.
Stock Android is now more colourful and interesting than any other custom rom.
Actually, your comments don't make any sense.

Generally, we store selective data in our phones. For most users, a 64 GB storage is more than enough for storing their essential data in a phone.
The most important advantage of the SD card slot is, you can upgrade the storage at lower cost.
Of course, this phone has no SD card slot, but that's not a significant reason for failing this device. If that so as you say, no one buys Nexus, iPhones and Lumia devices.
Next time come up with a reasonable point rather than the SD card rant.
