I was hoping lg will manufacture nexus 6 but seriously this is ugly nexus phone ever
Sad thing is people are lazy and someway stupid to make the phone without sd card....everybody now keeping in their phone lot of photos, movies, etc. Don't tell me about cloud, for me, is not the reason to upload my staff on cloud and redownload to see it...
J., 25 Oct 2014Ain't we feeling sorry for ourselves. No dual sim! Who needs such???? NOBODY!Constant globe/world travellers do have a use for multiple SIMs. I'll be surprised if Motorola releases a dual-SIM variant for Nexus 6 later on as previous Nexuses return no history in dual-SIM model production. If they do, then Motorola will be the first to release a dual-SIM Nexus model
Droid Survivor, 25 Oct 2014That ring flash does some good job in low light and the camera manage to beat the Galaxy Note ... moreAs Moto X2 and Nexus 6 shares the same ring flash design. I'll cite my comment from Moto X2: 'As for the ring flash, in most of the recent TV series and reality TV shows I watch, I notice pro cameras camermen use have lights/flashes (not sure if LED type) around their lenses or macros. Sometimes their lenses are rectangular/squared-shaped, other times they are circular/ring-shaped. But I mostly see them use the flash around rectangular lenses more than circular lenses. During behind the scenes in TV series and when cameramen accidentally show fellow cameramen shooting in reality shows.' I especially see them use such flash design during the night when they chase their reality show stars at places they eat (restaurants) or in places they relax (spas). While I am not certain how ring- or square-flash proves to be effective but if even some of the modern/recent media, filmmakers and journalists employs such lighting with their professional-grade cameras, it must be something in effectiveness. Maybe the ring flash do help contribute when capturing photos in low-light conditions
stabattack, 25 Oct 2014my bad, they have that ring flash..That ring flash does some good job in low light and the camera manage to beat the Galaxy Note 4 in low light according The Verge quick look and that is available on YouTube.
Anonymous, 24 Oct 2014but what does that mean? does it mean i can take a shower with it like i can with my s5? no i ... moreThere are different ways to keep a phone waterproof, the flaps are so last century!
stabattack, 25 Oct 2014my bad, they have that ring flash..Flash player or a flash. Do the research yourself.
Anonymous, 24 Oct 2014Horrible phone. Look at those big bezels. No dual SIM, most of rival Android flagship phones... moreYou must be a cl.own,if I must say so myself,so these bezels in your estimation are huge?and since when did Nexus phones come in dual sim variants?
They forgot to put flash, & surprisingly its Motorola now, so its sheer disappointment..
Already have the phone, it's really awesome. But I hope not too many people buys this phone. I don't want everyone having the same phone I have. Peace
I don't think I mind the size. I remember trying out the Lumia 1520 which has similar screen dimensions and I found it to be quite useful when you want to view more information but 6 inches would be my limit for a phone.
It's a shame that it doesn't have Micro-USB 3.0 or the newer Snapdragon 810. Those two things alone would have "future-proofed" it a little more (yes, I'm aware that you can't really future-proof technology that much these days). Battery seems decent but I guess it all depends on real world situations as to whether the standby is good or not.
I was planning to keep my S4 for a while so it's good for me that I'm not completely satisfied with the new Nexus. I'm sure it can only get better from here especially with Lollipop. There are still some features that I hope they introduce and one of them is multi window support - can't live without it!
Jo4444, 24 Oct 2014I wouldn't call this a phone. This is a small tablet, which can also take and receive calls. W... moreI don't think that's your CALL to this PHONE already named by Motorola ;-) I guess it needs a rotary dial and a receiver that is coloured snot yellow with cords to be a phone heh heh heh, isn't there already tablets with LTE avaliable on the market?. Besides that iFruit Plus is about the same height as the Nexus 6 and is considered a phone and not a tablet.
thinking about the phone is great it kinda match to note 4 in ram and screen.the disply is amoloed so i think the price would be very high.it not for the low price high specification phone chooser people.
Ridiculous. To go from $350 to $650? I feel betrayed.
The main selling point for the nexus over the iphone was price (for me anyway).
I was hoping to upgrade to the next nexus- no way in hell now. At that price and that size?
Getting a Chinese phone. Xiaomi Mi4 (once they add FDD-LTE) is everything I expected the nexus to be. And it's also got a bloody gorgeous body (copy of the older iph admittedly). Unlike the nexus5's plasticy feel.
