If the specs of 5.2" display is true, I'm sold... I want one now...
First Android version to support 64bit computing, and Google does not use 64bit chip for It's flagship that's gonna run that OS!!!
5.2 screen? :(
i hoped it was big :D but from scale of buttons, thats probably a 5.2 inch for a high chance !
It is really "annoying" that Google stubbornly refuse to include a SD card for more mem on board. 32 GB ROM is (barely) OK and 3 GB RAM is OK but "forcing users to the cloud" is NOT okay! Uploads & downloads take time and cost $$$ & not everyone has a stable, unlimited 4G connection. WTF Goog, get off your high horse!
I hope nexus 6 has laser autofocus, 16x Optical zoom, fingerprint+ retina scanner, intel i7 procy, 5.1 surround speakers and 9000 mah battery with a bazooka and thick steel case :D
wel, 13 Oct 2014The M logo? to what HTC? I see you work for google. No he clearly means to a picture of the actual device lol.
AnonD-8044, 13 Oct 2014Nearly bought Sony z3c but held off due to usual reasons of Sony.
Anyhow glad as still awai... moreThe Nexus 5 was announced on 31st October and released the following day. The Nexus 5 is still on record as having the earliest Nexus release date out of all 5 phones.
I wouldn't go as far as to say it's getting late in the year...
Has nobody else on here had the common sense to see that Google/Motorola are just doing a similar release to what Apple did...
Nexus X will be the new Nexus flagship device with presumably a 5.2" screen and the Nexus 6 would then be in line with screen size naming and would be the 5.9" variant.
If however Google have lost their minds and think that the Galaxy Note is the main competitor to the Nexus range and therefore only release a 5.9" phone then I will definitely not be the only annoyed customer.
I have had an Android phone since it's release on the T-Mobile G1. I have had every Nexus phone but I am now becoming increasingly bored with Android and the Nexus range. Like others have said, there is not enough originality.
Yeah we have wireless charging and we've had NFC for a couple of years, but Apple have been capitalising on what the consumer wants not what the tech guy wants.
The final straw will be the SoC. If Google do indeed use the Snapdragon 805 then it will confirm they have gone nuts. The 805 is Qualcomms last 32-bit chip. The 808 is their first 64-bit chip. Android L is built around offering 64-bit support. So why use a 32-bit chip!
The coming weeks will decide if I make the jump from Android to iOS...
According to android's bus stop animation, nexus x will be extremely big and the power and volume buttons will be in the middle on the right side just like the rumors. Watch the video it's funny
Xavier, 13 Oct 2014I hope N6 will be waterproof and ant+ compatibleBig display, but battery is what.....
Nearly bought Sony z3c but held off due to usual reasons of Sony.
Anyhow glad as still await the Nexus release but its getting a bit late now in the year.Wonder if anything is going to be released at all but hope something comes soon as will get Nexus 5 if not .
In past Nexus just get released with not much fanfare but thats got to change as so many are aware of it and its advantages. It would be good if it reached main smartphone status not dev test device because its a belting fast smartphone.
AnonD-293750, 13 Oct 2014The real Nexus 6 will surprise you. Get ready to change that logo GSMarena. The M logo? to what HTC?
