I am using Samsung phones for the last 3.5 years now. Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note 1 (N7000). Back those days, Samsung had the price advantage, but with S3, S4, S5, Note 2/3/4, they seem to be just bumping the price to levels that no longer put them in a premium value for money (woohoo..an oxymoron there) category. Their offerings also feel the same across the last 4 years in terms of overall look. And Samsung is just too proud to roll out OS updates it seems. I am loving the fact that the new brigade of Motos and Xiaomis are kicking Samsung.
Samsung has to rethink their pricing strategy.
Google play pre-order shu'd have been delivered by 3rd n USA, no new mentioned of nxt sale points, or world wide launch, it's has already been dubbed as 32bit ad 64bit cannot be activated even Lop5.
MY apprehension this model is failed, as snapdragon 805 used which is not supported 64bit. Maybe N7 be anticipating nxt 2015.
Forget about brick 6 inch nothing niche when all nexus will get L5, then why duffer. Keep N5 fr another year 350 dollars still miracle.
Renga C, 05 Nov 2014i beleive moto X 2ngen has same quality and specsyes maybe have the same specs,
but not the system update.. nexus will always in the front row if google launch new OS
Amit, 05 Nov 2014if it is sold in 40000 thousand than price is so highIt has the same specifications as Note 4(not much difference, apart from software gimmicks and SPen) in India and Note 4 is selling for Rs.60000/-, I think 40000/- will be competitive price as compared to the present sets available in India.
Amit, 05 Nov 2014if it is sold in 40000 thousand than price is so highyeah truly
Assure, 05 Nov 2014There is no hands on experience till now, where are those sold out on Google play. Come on give... moreif it is sold in 40000 thousand than price is so high
There is no hands on experience till now, where are those sold out on Google play. Come on give your impartial views, esp 64 bit architecture hardware or combination of 32 ad 64 bits screen resolution. Nexus 9 is with same ambiguity, Come on need sensible opinions.
With Ambient Display turned on and NO unread notifications, does the screen still light up when the phone is picked up (because that would be bad from my point of view)?
[deleted post]*almost as much but it's killing the iPhone 6. Question: what makes this phone not work *almost as much as an iPhone?
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2014Google does not believe in SD Cards, they believe the experience should be right from the phon... moreNot only apps are being save in the phone, there are videos, photos, music and documents as well that you want to bring all the time with the phone.
Ho can you fit that all in the internal memory?
That is one disadvantage of not having expansion memory. USB OTG is not convenient as you need to connect cables everytime you want to view the files and that is a hassle.
It is very disappointing that there is no moto apps and features like moto voice, touchless control , double tap to wakeup etc in nexus 6.
droid4every1, 04 Nov 2014Like others...I too question...why is there is no expandable storage ? With all the other feat... moreGoogle does not believe in SD Cards, they believe the experience should be right from the phone's internal memory. Seeing not all apps support transfer to an SD card, it might be a better user experience overall for end users. With this said, this phone is aimed at the developer market, so they should know what they're doing.
Like others...I too question...why is there is no expandable storage ? With all the other features available, card slot would make the device the flagships of flagships, surpassing HTC one, Galaxy S5, LG G3...People would definitely switch from the Samsungs and HTCs and LGs to enjoy the Nexus 6. Why that is big deal always with Nexus devices. Previously the miss was reasonable to kepp the costs down. But this year, with price starting from $649, card slots should have made it.
M.Palanivelu, 04 Nov 2014Why there is no Card Slot? Its a major thingGoogle defines a specific set of rules that the Nexus devices have to follow. For whatever reason, Nexus devices have never had SD card slots. I think it has something to do with not being able to guarantee third party internal hardware. Surprisingly, I ended up not even noticing. I thought it would be a big deal to me too, but a flash drive and an OTG cable in the backpack does all the same with added benefits.
Nazer, 04 Nov 2014Samsung already took the first bite as seen from its logo. LOL!Good job on that, Samsung. Let's see if Motorola can eat the rest...
