I'm thinking about to buy a Droid Turbo. Rumours suggest there could be an international version of the Droid Turbo. I'm thinking about to buy it after selling my current HTC M8.
The Nexus 6 and Droid Turbo are almost same in specs other than the display size, battery and camera. Overall, the Droid Turbo is better for me. Many people love that over the Nexus 6. But Nexus 6 wins when comes to Android updates.
Joe, 30 Oct 2014Is this size comparable to the HTC One Max?Yeah size is almost similar(a bit smaller than one max),But compared to one max it has better specs. Nexus has a better screen and I personally feel a better design as well. But there is a considerable price difference also.
In just 20 second online from the play store the Nexus 6 blue went out of stock and 45 second the white as well. I didn't know this phone was a wanted phone as many complained about the size.
Let see went all the 4 major careers will will launch it what will happen but so far people want the Nexus 6. Well done Motorola!

What they do charge for, is inclusion of proprietary google services (play store access).
Holy cr*p this is huge. Not the news, but the size!!
What's up with all these new phones getting so big?
its not a phone its tablet enormous size iam waiting for DROID Turbo to come in europe

Techno J., 29 Oct 2014Yes, no one forced you to buy this phone. Quite obviously this dude is a troll and loves getting fed to come up with some senseless comments. So lets just stop feeding the trolls and enjoy tech :)
[deleted post]nice question...
Thinking properly and practically I would say Nexus has good hardware and software but too huge, not my priority. So I'll not look too further on this.
Droid tubro is amazing, a true android flagship and whatever one desires in a handy size but but but...
There's one more thing and that is design. I peronally feel that design is something that gives first impression as well as its look and feel that bonds users with their device. Moto X is near stock version, looks amazing, curved back, fits in palm, one of the fastest devices (must be slower than droid turbo but enough is enough). Some very practical features like voice commands best in class, active display, and a super saturated display, an good enough camera for normal clicks. (photography is a hobby of mine so I use my semi SLR most of the times and I dont think any phone camera can replace that so I am not thinkin of wasting my hard earned money for just a bit better camera quality that is barely noticeable). Finally memory - I dont want a hard disk, I am looking for a phone so 16 Gig is enough for me (however if 32 gig is a option I'll go for it but it will be more than enough). Lastly regarding battery - Checked many comparisons of battery life and I found moto x's battery lasts longer than a day in normal usage because of its active display and stock version of android and in fact it will do better after lollipop update . So i am getting everything I need at a very good price and I dont want anything above that. So moto x is best option for me.
ameya 13, 29 Oct 2014Then why are you crying for more memory??? :/ Huhuhu, I am crying because it is so expensive but no expansion memory. I cannot afford that, I will go for cheaper phone with better specs and expansion memory.

I've no problem in pressing down the volume and power button at once. But for sure I want some better features instead of some non usable features like voice control which is only available on moto x, and the best part google voice commands are way more developed than any other voice command system like cortana and siri. So it would be nice if you can tell about some practically usable features on any of these phones you recommended. Then only people might actually think.

Because Android's Linux kernel has further architectural changes that are implemented by Google outside the typical Linux kernel development cycle, such as the inclusion of components like Binder, ashmem, pmem, logger, wakelocks, and different out-of-memory (OOM) handling. Certain features that Google contributed back to the Linux kernel, notably a power management feature called "wakelocks"
Linux want tell Google anything but Google can stop any companies to stop making Android phones. But Linux is fully free.
We all need to respect Google.

Just a little correction.
Android is based on Linux, open source OS. Which belongs to all the people over the world :)
And that is the power of the open source.
BTW I am happy with my Nexus 4, hoping soon to receive Lollipop. But 6 inches are too much for my hand :)
