Best phone I have owned (going on 4 years). Running /e/ OS (Lineage based) - Android 15. Extremely responsive in all apps and camera, fingerprint login, etc. 128 GB / 6 GB model has no issues with A15 and modern apps. Everything is as fast and smooth as when I got the phone - actually a bit more fluid in A15 than A13.
Super easy to ROM unlock from Motorola.
Replaced headphone jack for $8.50 (eBay) after a couple years of very rough use.
Battery life is still fantastic - I limit charge to 90%.
Tons of frequency bands - works great globally. I regularly exceed 100 Mbps downloads during updates.
WiFi calling is fantastic - T Mo allows WiFi calls for BYOD plans.
Camera continues to perform well and module stays very clean inside, unlike my previous iPhones which would get dust inside the lenses. I use the macro camera regularly. Super useful.
These are so cheap now (under $100 in great condition) I bought a second and put A15 on it as a backup unit. Plan to use until the networks kick the device off - which will be a while since it is a 5G phone.

An outstanding smartphone that became the poster child for Motorola's failure to update and upgrade their handsets in a timely manner. Despite repeated promises, the Moto One 5G Ace never did receive Android 12.
With the exception of a brief Google Pixel 5XL interlude, I've been a Motorola loyalist since 2010. This phone, while fast, efficient and powerful, ultimately received at least 80% of its updates and upgrades very late or not at all.
There are apps that will NOT function properly without the latest security update. Hoping that my current handset, the Motorola G Stylus 5G 2023 fares better.

I have been thinking about this but cannot confirm that wifi calling works and I require that because of location and lack of reception to the towers...and use this phone for business. TY
Pretty much an affordable unlocked phone that works with any carrier. My previous carrier gave me warnings to upgrade my previous device (Samsung S8) or they'll cancel my service (odd). That was with Cricket Wireless, then I moved to Visible Wireless. IMEI is still supported by Visible despite being a few years old. As of 2025, I still use this phone for their 5G service, but in reality, it is using LTE according to speed test.
Wi-Fi Calling, although present in settings, does not work for my current carrier, neither does it work on Cricket Wireless. Hate paying more than $1,000 for a new phone for it to be disposable in a few years.

This phone has been my daily driver for about 3 years now, and has survived extreme cold and falling into water. The cameras and battery life are solid, but the software support is laughably bad, with the newest OS version having come out before the phone itself (Android 11). That being said, it supports bootloader unlocking; I have been running Lineage OS on it, with Android 15 running smoothly. For those willing to go through the process of flashing a custom OS to it, given the current price point, I would recommend it.
It's a good phone. It handled two wrecks, one minor and one major, but it was unbroken and responsive. Last night, it completely gave up. I don't know how, why, or when, but now I can't charge or even power it. It's like the battery just said, "Good luck, I'm out."
It fell short of expectations, and this summer having used it for almost 3 years the phone blew up after going through a security screening. It still worked afterwards, and I kept using it for a while until replacing it.
wa, 21 Oct 2024what about anroid 12 why are you still on 11?It's still hella good for a phone, no lagg, had that phone for 3 years and it's still real good. Pretty responsive, and it had a good chunk of roughness (throwing, slipping from a table) and he's still top shape (with a protector), so i'm satisfied by Motorola, if i'm switching (Let's face it, it's not eternal) i'll gladly get another Motorola. They are good, cheap, and they resist well on the time test (Unlike Apple with their sabotaging update to make the system slower)
TL;DR: Motorola are goated

very bad mobile 5g is not working in this mobile plz dont buyy this
Still using this phone today. Great processing power. Android 11, no security updates after March 1, 2023 though. So don't use it for anything too sensitive.
This phone nowadays is very cheap and it has good processor. Good Deal
Had this phone for two and a half years and it worked fine until recently.
The phone just wouldn't turn on and had a single indicator light on when charging, a "sign-of-life indicator" from what I understand. Sent it to Motorola and they could not repair it.
I would never recommend this or any Motorola/Lenovo product to anyone. They can burn in hell for this waste of sand and metal.
My gf has this phone, she bares it. Apparently the screen doesn't go dim enough so that's what the LCD is bad for. Cameras are fine from the pics I get sent, obv zooming in is just a pixel fest, the macro, does macro things.. there's also a UW version, which has a UW lens, but so does this so idk what the difference is. Oh yeah, and the battery on my friends UW leaked, don't know if thats a prominent issue on this phone line.
