I own and love this phone. There are two problems I've had. One I had to have it replace twice. and i bought it on February 8,2013. Second is that there really isn't 8GB you get 5GB. But other than that I love this phone.

COME ON MOTOROLA!
Finally a superb keyboard layout (i tested in the store) but the battery size?!!!
1785 mAh for 4.3 screen and android?
Android drains the battery at a very high rate (without making calls and when internet is turned off!) Now consider CDMA voice calls which drain battery about 1.5 faster than GSM!
Make a thick phone with a large battery!
Stop being childish!

Battery died, could not save contacts to sd card, so 400 contacts lost. Sprint phone center says I have to watch the pnone charging, so I don't over charge it!! Photon manual states that there is circuitry to prevent overcharging. Bottom line, phone died after a few weeks, contacts lost. Piece of junk.

Battery life is terrible. 100% only last for 2 hours with battery saver function on Smart Actions application. Overheat increased when social media applications such twitter is on. No save to SD application ever worked on this phone. Useless 32 GB MicroSD. The rest is as written, good performances tho. And pretty useful slide keyboard.

not-registering, 19 Apr 2013having tons of trouble and have owned it less than a week. the battery does NOT hold a charge ... moreHasn't had those issues the Wi-Fi problem is from a program that sprint put on the phone you can go to apps and disable the program I think it is called connections

Google/Motorola how about making a gsm variant of proton q, like 4.3" to 4.5" of 720p min display, 32 gig storage, 2, 700+mah battery and quad cpu. The same design and size with bit slim, that will work to both att and tmobile carrier. As you notice most people using text, and it is great for us if you planning or considering my suggestion (request). Thank you very much! !! :-)
