I got mine in December and not a single problem so far.
Beware! In December 2007, I upgraded to the V8 Luxury Gold edition, and have had nothing but problems wit the key pad. I am on my 3rd one in 12 months. The menu is erratic (you select messages for example and it gives you the phonebook), the battery life shocking (all 3 phones last about 6 hours from a full charge, and no the bluetooth is not activated), moisture gathers in the main screen and leaves water marks and when you take it back, the sales man accuses you of spilling something on it (but I keep mine in a leather case). The list goes on! Used Motorola for 12 years, and this was a true let down. Great looking phone, but reliability is appalling! Just upgraded to the new Blackberry, so will see how that pans out!
hey u all ppl, pls tell me is it a good fone or any good suggestion, how is d CAMERA, SOUND CLEARITY any problems with dis fone, pls reply me ASAP
Veroncy, 14 Mar 2009I'm currently using this phone and is very good. You can make it readout your messages, save ... moreYup, I agrees with your comment too. If not because of my latest preference to choose only bar or slide design phones, I wouldn't have changed from V8 to E8. Yes I got what I wanted and maybe with a little bit more with E8 BUT I also missed a few good things about V8 until today. Notably, the voice quality, the signal reception and the smoothness of the system are better than E8, eventhough E8's voice quality is already better than other makes without Crystaltalk technology. I found out another way to test out the background noise cancellation of Motorola phones with Crystaltalk is via bluetooth headset device. If you're at a noisy place talking with your bluetooth headset, tell the other party you're talking to to observe the difference on the background noise level when you switch back to your phone mode. It worked each time I performed the test and my friends were impressed. Well, I've got let my V8 go and look forward to other Motorola phones with bar & slide design on my next upgrade, which might not happen so soon. But truly, despite some negative feedbacks on V8 on battery issue at his forum, personally I found V8 to be a good phone with outstanding voice quality and reception. We human are adaptive, if we're able to adapt and "manage" the battery charging aspect of it, there's no other issue to it.
I'm currently using this phone and is very good.
You can make it readout your messages, save a number private. Oh it's good.
Nice mobile phone, good design, and very slim clamshell. Although I never buy and try Motorola RAZR2 V8, I think this mobile phone is suitable for people who like Motorola RAZR mobile phones and don't need 3G/HSDPA. Its CPU class is ARM 11 (see in www.jbenchmark.com) and CPU MHz is about 438. I think it is faster than Motorola RAZR V3xx or Motorola RAZR Maxx V6 for processing. And of course, it is better than Motorola RAZR V3i, in my opinion.
yanyan, 10 Mar 2009Quick question does the "420mb/2gb" memory means that there are v8 that are only 420mb and the... moreWhen V8 first came out, it did offer a 512mb internal memory version, then came the 2GB version.
Then if you plug in your V8 with the USB cable, on your computer it will display 2 drives, one with around 50mb and the other being 2GB (or 512mb for the initial version)
Quick question does the "420mb/2gb" memory means that there are v8 that are only 420mb and there is also a v8 with 2gb memory??? Im confused... Thanks!
its a wonderful fone taken all round. the only downside is the low backup time. but then again there is no such thing as a perfect life and there is no such thing as a perfect fone. for those of u who like a great quality fone in all respects without frettin too much on the backup, v8 rocks.
MUTASEM SALHAB, 28 Feb 2009the batery is badthe battery is bad because the bluetooth uses so much power. turn the bluetooth off when you are not useing it and the battery will last longer.
