I currently have Nokia N72 and found it very slow. I am recommended to go for RAZR2 V8.. Can i please know the current market price? Also there was sme news about the battery being bad.. and phone getting hung suddenly in between..can i get clarification about this since i really like to go for V8 and it should not giv any problems after i buy this..
Thanks..

You can read from my posting about explaination and else. I has "Motorola Razr 2 V8". The battery bad and getting hang suddenly just rumour from Motorola Haters.
You can thinking logically about the battery; Motorola has experience for nearly 4 years making flip thin mobile (Motorola V3 Razr) include the battery can long life.
You can thinking logically about getting hang suddently? Remember this phone has the second faster processor 500 Mhz so how come hang suddenly. Slow processor will getting hang suddently.
I using "Motorola Razr 2 V8" until now (around 3 months); i don't have any problem. It's normal if from 10 units product have 1 or 2 units product has problem; but not mean all the phone has problem.
Every country has different price. Depend which one you want buy; Motorola Razr 2 V8 with 512 Mb internal memory or Motorola Razr 2 V8 with 2 Gb internal memory.

=============================================
I know that's rumour from CNET. Motorola already complain to CNET. CNET doesn't have professional to test radiation. CNET says sorry to Motorola and CNET "Delete" from their website.

I have an important question to ask...
If the handset catches a lot of scratches on the back. I think the battery cover can be replaced.
BUT if the external 2.0 " screen catches scratches can the facial/top cover be replaced OR is it just one piece molded with external and external screen.. that cannot be changed.
I hope you understand what I mean. I need quick response, as I will be buying it in a day or two...
Thanks..
=============================================
External screen made from glass so scratches resistant. If external screen scratches, you can change like "Motorola Razr 2 V8 Housing Full set".

I was wondering, is the MP3 for this only for stereo? I.E..Could I use earbuds to listen to the music..like the Sony Ericsson music phones, or does it only play aloud. Thanks.
=============================================
Yes, you can use earbuds to listen to the music; you need use Micro USB Motorola Handsfree Headset V8 like this picture in the link => 4digit.com.au/HF/DHF_Mot_V8_GEN.jpg

Hi! I have recently bought hte razr2 and I am
happy with it. However, when I use gif files as wallpapers there is just a simple image on the screen, as if I've used a jpg file. Any ideas?
Thanks
====================================
Yes, all Motorola mobile phone can't use gif files as wallpapers. You can but need modification your firmware first. Or someone make "Motorola Skins" with gif wallpapers; like my "Motorola Rizr Z3" can use "Sony Ericsson Skins".

@harryhunt7
I agree with you. Many Motorola Haters gave rumour about "Motorola Razr 2 V8 Battery". My "Motorola Razr 2 V8" with "Battery BX 40" has great "Baterry long life".
The fact "Motorola Razr 2 V8 Battery" can:
Standby : 4 1/2 days until 6 days.
Normal : Listen musics using Motorola Bluetooth S9 for 3 hours, 10 until 20 Messages, 10 until 20 minutes call or 20 minutes surfing GPRS; just need 1 bar of 3 bars battery metres.
ABOUT BATTERY LIFE... I READ MANY PPL CALLING THE BATTERY LIFE AS POOR. WELL IN MY OPINION MOST OF THESE OPINIONS ARE FAKE AS THERE ARE A LOT OF MOTOROLA HATERS OUT THERE WHO CREATE SUCH RUMORS FOR OTHERS TO NOT BUY THE RAZR2 HANDSET.
IN MY OPINION DON'T GO WITH THESE OPINIONS. GO FOR THE EXPERTS VIEWPOINT ABOUT THE BATERY.
E.G. GSMARENA.COM STATES
The standard Motorola BX40 Li-Ion battery is revealed once you remove the back cover. It has a capacity of 770 mAh and the manufacturer promises up to 330 h of standby time and up to 7 h and 30 minutes of talk time. These are quite optimistic claims, honestly. In reality, the battery lasts around 2-3 full days in a 3G network, depending on how intense the usage is.

ALSO MOBILE-REVIEW.COM STATES...
the manufacturer claims it is capable to keep the handset alive for up to 280 hours in standby mode and for up to 8 hours in talk mode. In conditions of London networks the handset lasted for about 2 days at an hour of calls and an hour of music while the use of other functions was minimal. In the conditions of Moscow networks, though, those functions will drain the charge in about a day. On average, an active user can expect one day, and cutting their activities to minimum will result in two days. The displays are the most power-intensive part of the handset, the more you use them the less the phone will stay on. No high-capacity cells are available for the V8. The most we could squeeze out of the handset on continuous music playback was about 12,5 hours.

Not all Motorolas that are unlocked have the manual Wap setting control. The people I know that have the RAZR MAXX V6, and myself included cannot change the setting to the current network settings.
Automatic settings, I didn't say you needed them, but it is an amazing thing. Just recently got my Sony Ericsson K850 and it automatically detected Rogers Wireless' EDGE, WAP/GPRS and 3.5G settings and I had to do nothing to get it up and running. I was making video calls the second I turned on the phone.
That's not the case with the RAZR MAXX V6, so I'm asking people who HAVE the phone, can you change the WAP settings so that it runs on the EDGE and WAP/GPRS network Rogers Wireless has.
It'd also be nice if Motorola made the RAZR2 Luxury Edition with video calling capability like in the V9, but it seems like you can't have everything in life...
@nil
Motorola Razr 2 is not Motorola Music Phone.
Motorola Razr 2 is Motorola Iconic Phone.
For Iconic Class; Motorola Razr 2 V8 has best and loud speaker.
QUESTION:
does the speaker have any problem during calling? because last time i bought V3i, the speaker kinda suck. i have to use loud speaker to make a call. even when i send it to service centre, the problem kept on repeating after 1 to 2 weeks. that happen almost to all of my friends who bought v3i too.
i really lyk dis v8. but i dont want to regret as much as i regret buying v3i. so anyone?? plz and thank you
V8 & V9 are both available in Malaysia. The V8 is abit thinner than V9 due to 3G system in the V9. Both phones are beautiful, so beautiful that you can just look at them all day. If you are not using 3G take the V8 as it is thinner but if you are a 3G user take the V9. The price in Malaysia is around RM1400 for the V8 and RM1880 for the V9. The box that V8 comes with it itself is a work of Art, this is a Box you just want to keep and use it for Decoration, it is just beautiful. I will be looking at the V9 tomorrow and will post a comment. V8 comes with a Luxury edition all Gold and Snake Skin in Malaysia with 2GB momory built in.
