what is better motorola razr v8 or v9?
very cool, cant wait till i get mine.
this V8 has the unique capability of being a 100% sratch resistant phone, so whenever your nails are too long there's a common remedy for that.
Hi everybody. I try to cancel a low battery bip on my V8.....can anybody help me, please.

So? This is opinion section for compare? I really proud about Motorola.

@Nick
this phone looks great!
however i think Motorola should consider creating a more feature heavy phone because compared with some of the other brands, it falls behind. Class 12 edge isnt really a substitute for 3G.
and to the guy below me who owns a k850.
dont waste ur time with that thing, just buy an N95

More feature heavy phone? Hahaha... Remember, when Motorola V3 Razr in the market; other brand has more feature heavy phone but the fact other brand with more feature heavy phone falls behind Motorola V3 Razr until now. The fact is just single type Nokia 1xxx can beat Motorola V3 Razr; i speak about how many single type of brand can sold.
Motorola not really interesting with 3G. When Motorola first time produce "3G Phone"; Motorola got award, why Nokia can't? Motorola interesting with more faster than 3G; that's 4G.
Nokia N95 is bulky and cheap plastic.

It seems to me that your opinion is very one sided. I didn't come here to say that Motorola was sh1t, now did I. I have a Sony Ericsson K850, but I'm also looking to get a Motorola V8 Luxury, so don't get so proud about Motorola.
Did you know that the HBH-DS970 was out in the beginning 2006? While the S9 came out just before 2007? So no one copied NO ONE. I mean, the SE headset is all wired and compact, and the S9 is not as messy as the SE headset, plus it's even more discreet. But as I said before, if you want to show off, the SE products are the best right now and the S9 was made for hiding your bluetooth headset, not flaunting it.
Currently, Sony Ericsson wins in terms of having a UI that is practical, name brands that are popular like the Cyber-Shot and the Walkman series, and have handsets that look GOOD.
But of course Motorola wins in it's OWN WAY with their terribly simple and easy to pick up and use handsets that anyone would get. You don't think I don't know that the RAZR is the highest selling product in the world. If I'm not mistaken, it still outruns the iPod.
Plus, the designs and form factor of the Motorola phones are something to get jealous of. My K850 is x2 the thickness of the RAZR2 profile. It does all the same things minus the accellerometre, 2ndry camera and the 5MP cmos/carl zeiss lens. Track ID is handy too, but I'd give up the K850 any day for a V8 RAZR2 Luxury.
Anyway, so who here has the RAZR2 V8? Can you change the WAP settings?

Just because the material is made of glass does NOT mean this phone is scratch resistant. Sony Ericsson has put a title under their K850 phone, saying that their glass was material glass which was unscratchable, but looky here, I've done the impossible and have a scratch on the back of the phone.
No phone is NOT unscratchable, except the Vertu phones. Those even come with a guarantee.
As well, the user asked about being able to use other headsets such as the sony ericsson headphones. Unfortunately, if you can't find the MiniB USB -> 3.5mm headphone jack, which is VERY rare because of it's non-mainstream demand, then you're out of luck, and will have to use bluetooth if you want to use in-ear/in-canal or head/earphones with your Motorola V8. I recommend the Sony DRBT30Q, which goes for 160 at BestBuy or 150 at the Sony Store in Canada. It's a good price, and it's the only headset out there that surpasses the 5-6 hour limit. It goes for 8-9 hours of music playback, and 10-11 hours of talk time.
though I've experienced that the Motorola S9 goes further then 5-6 hours, it's reached 7 & 1/2 once for me, but my person favorite because of it's style is the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 and HBH-DS980. They're both the same in terms of price and functions/design layout, but they're just differently made material and style. One is black, using an older version of the LCD, and the newer one uses a better version of the LC, which appears through the sliver mirror finish.
It's up to you, because this headset can be found for 200, but if you buy with UK importers, it goes for 120-150
To anyone who bought this phone and has it.
Can you change the wap settings?
Like on Sony Ericsson K850, you go into the browser, go to menu->advanced->connectivity tab->connect using;Rogers(Select)->options->edit-;
APN;goam.com
username;wapuser1
p/w;wap
data compression;on
proxy settings;on (HTTP)->edit->proxy servers;HTTP->edit-;
username;wapuser
p/w;wap
proxy address;10.128.1.69
port;80
Anything like that? I want to know if I can actually go on the internet with an imported Motorola, because I'm planning to get the V8 Luxury Edition from UK, and I'm from Canada.
I've tried it out on the RAZR MAXX V6, but found no such setting.
how can you download flash player for the internet browser on the phone?

Hello..
I currently have Nokia N72 and found it very slow. I am recommended to go for RAZR2 V8.. Can i please know the current market price? Also there was sme news about the battery being bad.. and phone getting hung suddenly in between..can i get clarification about this since i really like to go for V8 and it should not giv any problems after i buy this..
Thanks..

You can read from my posting about explaination and else. I has "Motorola Razr 2 V8". The battery bad and getting hang suddenly just rumour from Motorola Haters.
You can thinking logically about the battery; Motorola has experience for nearly 4 years making flip thin mobile (Motorola V3 Razr) include the battery can long life.
You can thinking logically about getting hang suddently? Remember this phone has the second faster processor 500 Mhz so how come hang suddenly. Slow processor will getting hang suddently.
I using "Motorola Razr 2 V8" until now (around 3 months); i don't have any problem. It's normal if from 10 units product have 1 or 2 units product has problem; but not mean all the phone has problem.
Every country has different price. Depend which one you want buy; Motorola Razr 2 V8 with 512 Mb internal memory or Motorola Razr 2 V8 with 2 Gb internal memory.
