I dropped the phone with the screen facing the street & not a single crack.
I strongly recommend buying this phone.

This is my first Motorola device ever. I was a loyal HTC user & was going to get the One X but decided to get the MAXX for the strong battery performance.
This is a brilliant device which can do what other high end devices do, with no worries about switching off after losing power.
I'd like also to add that the build quality of the MAxx is very strong, I once dropped it on its screen & it slipped several meters over the street, & nothing happened.
Still waiting for the ICS update.
Just buy it.

Gorilla glass is mostly sensitive to breaking if falling on it's side. All types of tempered/hardened glass is like this.
Basically you have to abuse it to break. Maybe one in a number of thousands would get one where the glass is under tension, and it would break without physical abuse. In this case the glass breaks in a different manner, very easy to see, and should be covered by it's warranty.

I have been using this phone for quite a while now. In a nutshell I can say that it is a flawless phone. I just upgraded to ICS and trust me it is a treat to watch.
Extremely good looking, well built, super fast, and user friendly.
Hats off Motorola. This is the best phone on Earth.

Learn to use Smart Phone smarty my friend, otherwise do not.

I was aware that Android was a power hungry at crazy levels and as a N8 user I demand good battery life, so I can confirm that the RAZR Maxx battery is equally awesome, you can leave your charger at home and the RAZR will survive with data ON, GPS ON, Bluetooth ON, all day long, of course take in mind that the huge battery (3200mAh for MX model) take more time to charge than other phones, but is not a issue if you charge at night, I'm just waiting for ICS update

I have budget... moreI bought the phone already, i am in Banglore, and i called up motorola customer care who then gave me the number of motorola mobile incharge in BLR, he knew all the shops in the city where he had sent stock for razr maxx, picked my phone from one of them, you can do the same in your city.....

According to you why i preffer this phon... moreFor me the phone has enough protections like the gorilla glass at the front in the screen and kevlar in the rear side, also the body was manufactured with aluminum and carbon fiber which makes it hard and also has Aridion which makes it splash water resistant. what else you can ask?

I just upgrade my razr maxx to ICS this weekend as told you before, ICS is simply amazing, the UI change a little bet and I need to keep looking but I'm very happy. I have only one issue during the upgrade, after installation process and reboot system on the "starting applications" process at the end gets freezed, so I get worried but I just pressed the power button and starts running again, no idea why, but nothing fails and there is no other issue, I'm very glad with the upgrade, Razr MAXX + ICS = Amazing phone

It looks like the razr maxx screen has serious screen issues. The LCD screen seems very fragile and keeps cracking. There is a big thread about this on motorola and verizon forums. Has Motorola fixed this now and would you recommend buying this phone in India?

The battery is amazing, thanks moto for think in the customers

One of the tests we did with this hardware whilst doing an evaluation, was leave it on .... but without any use except to make a 2 minute call once a day. It stayed on for 10 days before the battery was discharged.
