v3 rules...even though the space is very
little but the design covers it all..its the best design i hav ever seen..
Reading these few comments random people left, looks like alot of people are having problems with the V3 ? Which i myself don't have any problems with it , yet. Which i hope not to come across, i've had this phone for not that long. But i don't like it, no it's not cause i have problems with it. It's just, there's no mp3 player on here or the other stuff i want on it. Other then that, it's not that " bad " of a phone.
I've had the V3 for a little over a week now, and this is by far the best phone I have ever owned, or ever come across. Lets start out with the design. How can you not like it? This phone looks simply amazing, it is made out of anodized aluminum, but part of it on the back is made out of plastic (because that's where the antenna is). This phone is definatley a head turner, I get a lot of compliments about it all the time. The external screen is made out of hardened glass, which gives it a very nice touch, plus it doesn't scratch. The keypad is very nice, it took me about 20 seconds to get used to. The blue outline that lights up around the keys looks really good. The screen is amazing, the best I have ever seen on a phone. Now lets get into the phones performance. The call quality is crystal clear, MUCH better than the Nokia I previously owned. Most people complain about the phonebook being outdated and hard to use, but honestly, its nothing to complain about. The VGA camera is pretty much what you would expect from it. One thing you can do is take a picture of a person, and then store it to your phonebook, so when they call thier picture shows up on the external caller ID. Very neat. Also, when you have the camera on and you close the phone, the external screen acts as kind of a mirror, for taking self photos. Much more convenient that the little chrome circle most other phones have. The browser isn't all that fast, but it's still pretty good. The ringtones are nice and loud, and the vibrate is very strong. Some people say they can barely notice the vibrate, but I guess it's a personal thing. The phone has 5mb of built-in memory, which is a pretty good amount to mess around with.
Overall, I could not be happier with this phone.
Help please!!!!!!!!!! can anyone help me, i need to reset the phonelock password, i didn`t use it but a friend used my phone and he set a password for the phone, he doesn`t remember it please help me
I have one comment and that is that I am, very disappointed, I bought the Motorola V3 in the USA,three days later I returned home, Malta,Europe.
Not even a week passed and I starting having problems, I could not recieve calls nor call, I called Vodafone the providor,I was told to check my sim card in an other mobile and it worked, so the defect is my V3, no warrenty is covered in europe since I bought the mobile in USA, had I bought a cheap other mobile I would have been better off !
hey i bought this phone few days ago and i found it extremely awesome.... it is so thin and elegant (black color) that i really like it .. hey if somebody can tell me from where can i download its new software i'll be very helpful... it's a great phone
So i got this phone over a month or so ago, the internet on it doesn't work for downloading ring tones. Is there any other way i can put mp3 ring tones in it ? Thanks !
Maybe it's because I'm in the US, but I've had my V3 for about 2 months now & love it! I've had no problems what so ever. The size/design/everything about it is great. I wanted a cool looking phone to make/receive calls, send texts/pics & have some cool ringtones, this phone does it. If you want a camera with better memory, BUY A CAMERA or if you want to play multiple MP3s, BUY AN MP3 PLAYER. Let's remember people that this is a phone first & everything else second. I guess if you're in the US & want a sleek, cool phone, the V3 is the way to go! Outside the US, who knows, I'm sure no matter what phone you buy someone somewhere will have bad things to say about it.
This phone SUCKS and with 5.5mb memory what could you put in (1 mp3 ONLY). Who are motorola kiding??? Moto is the worst phone manufacturer on the planet earth. The battery life is very short and after few days, it will need to be re-charged. I had this phone from the start and paid more than 500pounds. After 1 week I gave it away for free and bought a Samsung D500 which is much better. Now I upgraded to Nokia N90 which rocks. It has all the features that one could possibly imagine. Symbian, 2MP camera, big and clear display, card-slot etc.... etc....
Hope you people who are trying to buy a phone do not buy a Moto because they are not worthed the money you spend them since they are like factory-seconds.
I hope that also people who have owned a Motorola felt this feeling as well. It does not encourage new costomers to buy phones.
MoTo V3 is the WORST phone ever;
it is VERY BIG,
camera is very cheap,
very, very, very, few memory space,
the keypad is ugly and non-user friendly,
the sound quality is not as good as Samsung,
the image quality is inferior to Nokia.
I think that I have said enough.
Hope you realise this before you do your biggest mistake and after few days regret it.
All I can say is that this phone is selling purely on its looks. Great, a clamshell that is thinner than most candy bar phones. But I paid over $800 for a phone that had some of the worst features to date: A VGA camera, only 5.5mb of internal memory that isn't expandable, horrible battery life, inconvenient phone book and the typical Motorola interface. When a phone such as the K500i came out, all the reviewers were bagging it for its 12mb of internal memory. Well here's a reality check. That's over twice the amount of memory in the V3. It also has a camera with video recording, a better interace, better battery, and is about $500 cheaper. All I can say is that buying this phone was one of the worst decisions I have ever made.
Just brought this phone on ebay for $300.After reading comments I am now concerned.I have a seT630, and am happy with the ph however like the look of V3.I only really need ph to send & rec call & sms, so can i get feedback on this basis. All I see is negative feedback, however has motorola addressed any of the issues with recently manufactured phones? Thanks.
Hi all, I bought this mob for my girlfriend, but after I showed her DOOM running on my 6600 she wanted something similar for her phone, could you help me out?
Thanks for the time.
To get video, you need to mod your phone. Please go to www.motomodders.net to find out more.
There's no difference between the two besides color. I contacted Motorola about the video function & it all depends on the carrier you have. Buy it through T-mobile & you can record video, buy it with Cingular & you can't. Hope that helps you out.
Hi! i was wondering wat d dirr. of silver V3 n black V3 beside d colour? ppl say black V3 got cam-reocrder function, n silver V3 don't, is it?? thanks 4 ur inform!!
u can get about 10mb of space. by upgrading the software, and deleting unwanted ring tones and pics etc, as well some of the default java apps u get; u can increase memory. i got aroun 9535 kb on mine. and the best part is u can do all this for free.
please someone help me.. i dont know how to take video footage with my v3.. all my friends have video cam on their home screen but i have no idea where the hell it is!! please i going crazy.. need instant reply xx
I have a motorola v3 black and its great and the speaker is loud enough to hear perfectly
PEACE OUT MY FRIENDS
I've also seen the all white screen a couple of times, specially when it's running out of battery, although this is quite disturbing in a NEW mobile this expensive, the real problem about my V3 is that the reception is awful. And by awful I mean people hardly hear me,and most of the times it hangs up!I don't know if anyone has had the same problem but I find it quite distressing, since I'm one of those who doesnt care about low memory or low quality pictures:I just want to make/receive regular calls!!This only happens usually in my house, but I didn't have any problems before with my old mobile so I know is not the net. Also the "stupid" manual does not let me know if I did/activated something wrong,so Im totally helpless.
I can't take it back to the store since I bought it some time ago,and also I think they'll say its due to net problems, and I cant use my phone just to make calls normally,I have to keep walking around the house like an idiot and redial whenever it hangs up,so I would really appreciatte any help from anyone who's had the same problem.
patrick, i know how you feel, i dropped my first silver v3 from 3 foot, and the hinge snapped through the circuit board and i ended up with the phone in two pieces!
i feel i have to answer to all these people giving the V3 a kicking. you are missing the point of this phone by moaning about what functions it DOESNT have.(i used to be the same).
people buy this phone for the DESIGN QUALITY-pure and simple. just the same reason why the APPLE I-POD is so popular, and yet a lot of its rival Mp3 players are far superior ...the quality of the design in breathtaking..it looks like nothing else on the market, is still futuristic looking even a year after going on sale. what more can i say?
i have a SE K750i which is fantastic.(i got it free upgrade) but i have still just been and purchased a black V3...the reason?
the amazing DESIGN of it. so what if the camera is rubbish, and the memory is poor. it lets me send text messages, stores all my numbers and can even take a quick snap shot with the camera.best of all , i can EVEN MAKE AND RECIEVE PHONE CALLS !
wow. i think the fact that my SE 750i does all things better(apart from size and looks) and yet i always want to use my V3 says a lot about how futuristic the V3 really is!
long live the V3, a future design classic, right up there with the apple i-pod !!!!
