I'm one of many v3 owners and I'll share some impression with people who don-t know if to get one or not.
Design: Perfect. It was the reason because of which I gave up my Nokia 6600 which, 2 be honest, is much smarter. The slickness, the innovative keyboard and the aluminium are worth all the money.
Menu: in comparison to Nokia it's weak but after one week u'll get used 2 it. The problem I have is when I'm looking 4 a telephone number because u can only search by the first letter. It's hard when u have 500 contacts.
The VGA camera is weak for such a phone and u don't get to record videos (i didn't do it often but it's nice 2 know u can) but who cares when u've got such a showstopper.
4 me it's the perfect phone right now. The design is just great and the bluetooth works much better then Nokia's.
PS:
i like this phone! not too bad! screen is a lil dodgy tho!
This fone is a very classy looking mobile fone, i was very excited to receive this after i ordered it. However, i am not happy with it now as i have had to send it back twice within a week. I am going to perminantley return it and get a completely different model
Hey Technophile,
I agree. Bang and Olufsen? Excellent taste my friend. Very expensive. Not for everyone though.
The Motorola V3 is an extremely classy phone. Excellent blend of function, style and class. It's not for everyone but then again what is?
If you are happy with big clunky show off items, this phone is not for you. If you like slim-designed well made items then consider the V3 Razr. When the titanium version comes out I'll get it too.
I've had many phones just like a lot of you out there. The Motorola V3 is definitely one that I am really enjoying right now. Very different. Worth every penny.
First of all I'm not a clamshell/flip phone lover at all but I love this phone, it is a good size and weight. Very smooth, sleek and the speaker phone is amazing. Solid design.
The voice activated wireless Bluetooth headset works amazing with it, and I've used it with the phone on the coffee table and I walked all around the house, no problems at all. Even in the office, I've left the phone on my desk with my office locked and used the headset to make and receive calls while elsewhere on the floor. Perfect.
Whoever is considering it, if you're a true minmalist techno lover you'll really appreciate this phone. The case is made of aircraft aluminum! Sweet. It reminds me of Bang and Olufsen designed audio systems. Very high end. Top shelf.
hey do anyone know whether this phone has flash capabilities? and I wanted to know which is better, RAZR V3 or the Motorola V635, since they both are of about the same price, so I was just wondering which one is better
This forum is meant to help others (like me) who are trying to decide whether or not we should buy the V3. So tell us why you like/dislike your V3 and not just waste our valuable time reading post after post that offer nothing more than variations of the words cool and crap. E.g., ahgwai, do you really think Motorola is responsible for your butter-fingers?!! Yo people, be CONSTRUCTIVE.
this phone sucks...way too thin...!!!!!! when u dropped it..it'z not working..too easy to break..and even u lost it..u won't be noticed...
have you seen the v3s replacement? theyve stepped up into 3g! with the v1150 2 mega pixel cam, 1gb expandable memory and its the same thinness as the v3 predecessor
ok answers to many things said 1. i think its a fantastic phone! 2. yes, could do wid a bit more memory (although even at max res the cameras not gonna fill it up) 3.Its just a sexy phone with a nice big screen n bluetooth 4 all us drivers.(7hr talk time is more than fair) Enjoy it, dont dis it
American design hand phones are just like American design cars. . . .Big & Cheap !
if you want a phone that suit with your desire...just make your own phone...!
dont complain...
nice sleek classy phone. design is outstanding but e camera & messaging is way too difficult man.
where got PHONE is just a PHONE nowadays ? There is PHONE is just a PHONE if u go back to 5 years back , & PHONE is just for call is for low end fone nowadays . IT does really really WORSE to face the new millenium requirement for a fone.
To be fair, if you want a camera buy a camera. The main function of the PHONE is to PHONE people, and it does that.. quite well actually
Motorola are not Sony, don't expect them able to make good camera.
Good design pimpin style...
but same function as v600
don't really wanna pay $500
for just design...
i sold it because not worth of money
All depends on your needs....
Good looking I would say. But the camera is rather poor, (for the diminutive size of the lens good though)
If your only need a camera-function that can take fair vga-resolution pictures of well-lid non-moving objects, this might do. But I'm sure you could find better!
Has anyone got problems with key pad, mine seems to be lifting and slightly raised.
Hey... I'm looking for a good-looking clamshell phone with a decent enough camera. Will the V3 be good enuff?
