It's a phone, so you'd think the main focus would be around making and receiving calls, exchanging contact information and sending messages. I've owned one for about a month now, and was dismayed at the awful phone book. I have over 500 contacts, and as you can imagine 30 or more start with the same characters. With the phone book in the V3 you can only input the first letter of the contacts name, so in one case I have to scroll down 22 names to get the contact I want from 45 people who's surname start with the same letter. As a business user I call many diferent contacts in a working day, and a message to Motorola, It is not possible to remember over 300 shortcuts, might just as well remember the whole damn number. If you send or receive a contact without a number from asny bluetoothe device, my phone switches off and restarts. The Software Motorola supply is not straight forward to install and use, and furthermore contrary to their sales people it doesn't sync with outlook as it comes straight from the expensive aluminin extruded box. Spen less on the box Motorola and more on the software development and customer care. Get a direct dial line to data support, I don't want to wait 5 days for a reply that eventually says, sorry we cannot give you the technical support you require.
BUT THIS PHONE HAS EXCELLENT CALL QUALITY, THE CAMERA EVEN IF ONLY LOWER RES, HAS A MUCH LOWER NOISEFLOOR THAN MAY P910, AND FAR OUT PERFORMS THE P910 IN LOWER LIGHTING CONDITIONS.
THE BUILD QUALITY IS EXCELLENT AND FEELS SOLID, THE PLASTIC BOTTOM REAR HALF IS AN ACCEPTABLE COMPROMISE TO A POKEY OUT AERIAL. OVERALL I LIKE THE PHONE, BUT IT IS SERIOUSLY LET DOWN BY MAJOR FUNCTIONALITY FLAWS WHICH ARE THE ESSENCE OF A PHONE. BIG ERROR MOTOROLA.
Not good. function is more or less like a few other recent Moto models & the manu too complicated...as usual.
took my v3 back after 3 weeks.my problems were the phone tends to switch itself off and restarts, and also i got fed up with cleaning the phone everytime i pick it up.i then bought a k700i and im much happier with this phone.please let me know if anyone else has had the same problems.DO NOT BUY THE V3.YOU WILL BE KICKING YOURSELF AFTER A MONTH SO PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR CASH LIKE I DID..
some people are stupid & naive...they think products from big manufacturers must be good...Nokia is the biggest, so everyone should buy only Nokia, right?
Chevrolet is much bigger than ferrari...i will anytime take the Ferrari & leave the corvette to some stupid F up guys.............!!!!!!
this V3 is the worst mobile out of all the phones that i brought this year. just a piece of garbage. i made the biggest mistake. (my friend brought one and sold it after 4 days, he think the V3 not user friendly and will never buy another motorola.
i would like to know if this phone would be able to function by t-mobile network service.
Been using it for a week but its turning my head in, gotta run back to my sony k700. if all u do with a phone is make calls get it, otherwise NOOOOOOOOOO
the v3 is the coolest phone on the market at the min............... and yes i have one . a real phone made off metal not the plastic crap the market is flooded with.. keep up the good work motorola.... 10/10

Hey, kk, pls shut the F up.
Moto's the second leader in the whole world and also deservs more
there are many courses for different horses. for those out there who are not rocket scientist, and simply need a good thin phone with an excellent handsfree speaker and basic functions, i found the v3 to be an excellent wireless phone. it is thin and good looking with an excellent size screen, good sound, etc.
i paid plenty for the motorola aston martin v600, but have found the v3 to be the one i used the most. just my humble opinion.
i have owned many phones over the years. and this is a brill handset . well built. wake up china is making some top class stuff these days . not long till they pass the US is the tech race. 10/10 battery life not bad for a phone so thin and light..
i totally agree with "ianfrey" comment. i own & used the v3 for a little over a month now. this phone is definately made in china & the attention to the finishing product is quite lousy for a phone i paid us$750.00 for. the manu & set-up of the phone is the worst on the market. there is not even an icon on the screen to show that you have activated the alarm. motorola phones are just not user friendly at all & i am extremely disappointed. on the average,i buy 10 different phones from different manufactures per year; and i have been using mobile phone since the beginning of 1985 & i found that motorola is the least improve company of all. anyway, the v3 is just another piece of crap(my opinion).
Hey don't be foolish ... V3 is one of the best phones out in the market ...with functionality and looks ...You seem to be a lover of cheap looking nokia shit!
Motorola have only made 70,000 of these phone, has anyone thought about what happens when they drop it and break it or it gets stolen? also the casing, much like the nokia 8910i will scratch very easily. the memorey is small and of course one will have to put up with one of the worst menu set-ups ever put on the market. the only thing going for it is the class one bluetooth. a phone for people who want ot show off rather than for people how want to make the most of the features provided by far more practical alternitave on the market. not that there's anything wrong with wanting to show off, but save up and get a good watch rather than poncey phone. if you really want to show of with a phone buy a Vertu or, best of all, have your PA look after your phone and let her field all your phone calls for you.
