I've had this phone for more than a year: it has NEVER failed me, always powers on, screen's brilliant, no issues what so ever with -very- extensive use. To me this is a VERY reliable phone.

The RAZR V3 has only 5.5 MB of internal memory, but if you delete the factory-set ringtones & wallpapers... you can increase that memory by maybe, [less than] double.

I wonder why Motorola actually manufactured such a sleek phone, but with so little memory? [But hey, this isn't a MP3 player like the rest of the Motorola family.]

That's a drawback that I'd have to question.

as Derek says: "I bought my first motorola last november, I have always had Nokia's. It has spent more time in the shop than in my pocket its totally unreliable and i will never by a Motorola again. sure the styling is great and some of the features are great but its totally unreliable."
I had my first Motorola, it was only a secondhand V3. The screen brightness is low in daylight. Software is suspect. I have to stress this phone is more rugged than it looks, I'm hard on phones, hence buying secondhand phones. In all fairness it was water damage that killed it in the end, but I had had enough of it.
I've gone back to the Sharp GX30i, great phone. one of the best clamshells I have used. I have had a couple of GX10i's, one of which is still working fine.

Yes, if you close the screen the camera WILL remain active unless otherwise.

I am on my second RAZR, which just died. The screen will not turn on, and the phone only powers up when the constellations are in its favor. The first RAZR I had did the same thing. I just moved to Israel, and guess what: warranties are no good here, and forget about repairing it. This phone is a very expensive mistake.

Honestly, this phone is horrible. I've had two. The reason I got 2 is because my first one stopped charging after the first 2 months. It wasnt the charger because I replaced that. My second one, had the same problem after about 4 months. Both of my phones got this really annoying dust/dirt under the screen that is impossible to get out unless you have the right tools to take apart the screen. A torx screw driver is needed. The phone has horrible service with Cingular. You also cant send people things with Bluetooth, you can only recieve things. The keypad gets really dirty and is hard to keep clean. Also, when it goes to missed calls, it doesnt say how many times the same number called, or at what time, or anything like that which is annoying. You also cant take video and it is hard to figure out how to voice record.

                                    ....Pros for the phone....
The MP3 sound for the ring tone is really clear and loud which is awesome. It is a really simple platform to figure out. It is really thin, and can fit anywhere.

All together, this phone sucks. I wouldnt recomend it to anyone. Sure it looks nice, but its not worth the money.
