Hello,
I received my phone only two days ago and is terribly dissapointed. My problem is the signal is very weak even in areas were the signal is known to be very strong. Can any one advise? I was told that i might need a reception booster, is this necessary? When ever i try to make a call it will say call fail and i am about to throw it away unless someone can assist me

hey..im here to help you v3 owners!
    1. Let me guess...you think the memory is crap, well i have notched mine from 5.5mb to 10mb!
    2. You may not have video, but once again..dont worry i have put video on to my phone and so cn you.
    3. There are lots of other features to put on your phone.
But before i tell you the website...you are doing this at your own risk so make sure you bakc up the files by saving them on to your computer before gtting rid of the files..this is not my responsibility.
And finally the website is www.themotoguide.com have fun!!

          Hi all.

Had my V3 since september 2005. Nice phone. Upgraded it to have video capture and more memory. I have 10Mb space to store info on now instead of the 5mb. Lots of useful info here http://www.motox.info/ they have loads of V3, V3i and V3x info.

Juz got the blue version a few days ago.
No problem so far.It has been almost two years since i used a motorola phone.
Had always rank Motorola number 1 in terms of design and voice clarity. But the RAZAR V3 has shown great improvement in ease of used.

I had no problem copying numbers to the phone. No problem composing and sending sms.
Motorola has really improved a lot on this areas.I abt to navigate and master the phone within a few mins.

Has read many different opinion here and to be honest it doesn't help at all.It just make me confuse.

Below are some of the pros and cons i have discovered after using the phone.
            Cons:
            1.Low memory
            2.VGA camera only
3.Hard to view screen when under bright sunlight

            Pros:
            1.World prettiest mobile phone
2.2nd Slimmest phone in the world(Replace by NEC 412i)
3.Great metal casing and keypad( much better than the cheap plastic feeling)
4.Low price (Now is the best time to buy, would regret if I had purhase it at its initial price as i would expect much more for this)
            5.Great recption and clarity

I had thought that the V3 would be a lousy phone. But after using it for phone and messaging.I would give it a overall 8.5/10.

Well Done Moto !! (for reducing the price)

My advice ,if you are looking for a phone that can take wonderful pictures, store thosuands of songs/photos than don't buy the V3.

                to Marv,

no its not just you. I work in the industry and as such i get to see which fones come back for repairs, which fones come out of the box broken and which fones break in the first 14 after purchase. Motorola are the WORST fones on the market. Motorola deny any problems and refuse to explain to me why I have 5 times as many Moto's come back into store than ANY other brand. Silver V3's are the worst of the razors, followed closely by the V220, then the black V3. Pink hasnt had many issues-yet. (im waiting)Motorla really should go into another business. I even tell customers now that Moto's are crap, so that at least if it breaks, they have been warned.

                To Zee,

DONT BUY A RAZOR!!!! Please dont do it to yyourself. I give these fones an 80-90% cchance of breaking within 6 months.

in answer to the previous question, the phone was originally brought out with no option of video capture at all. However, the handsets that arrived in shops over the christmas period did have video capture on.
There is no way of telling in terms of design as to which ones have it and which ones dont, but the new ones with video capture come in a more slim-line box than the usual v3's.hope that helps

Well I've had my V3 black for about 6 months now and I haven't had a problem yet. I love the phone and I would definately have another one. Personally I dont care about taking pictures and listening to music etc, thats what digital camera's and Ipod's are for. As a phone its perfect!

This phone used to be special because of its expensive price tagged but now the price has dropped so much that no one will even F*** care if you are holding on to one.
Also rumours in the market has label this as a "pretty face but no substance" phone.
Motorola has always failed to maintain its mobile phone status. From its old startac to V3.
My advice to those who is considering buying the V3i-wait for a few more mnths and it will be another cheap handset floating in the market with no buyers.

I purchased my V3 in November and have had nothing but problems with it. I can't send text messages, I lose just about every call I make or receive. Despite my personal programming (ringtones, notifiers, voice commands, etc) it has a mind of it's own and will not do what I programmed it to do. What angers me the most though is the lack of messaging capabilities. I love my messages and have tried everything to troubleshoot this problem and was told by my cellular provider that it must be a settings error on my phone....RIIIIGHT! To not be able to send messages is reason enough for me to return it and go back to my old Motorla V180! My advice, don't purchase the V3 on cool factor alone (like I did) it is not worth the money!

I bought my black razr about a week ago..the screen of the front of the phone has since then started to fall off, allowing dust to collect under the inside screen. I went to return it today & the new phone is having the exact same problem already...has anyone else had this happen??? thanks!!
