razrguy, 11 Jul 2013Bell and wind will not be getting jellybean update. If that is the case. Try to network unlock your phone and flash the Australian retail rom into your razrV, you can then get the OTA update to jelly bean 4.1.2.

good phone, only problem is no custom roms and battery life is not that great. Other than that this phone runs games really well, no lag, nice qHD resolution on a 4.2 inch screen and has really good call quality.
So does anyone no if Xposed framework works on this phone (modify your ROM without modifying any APK (developers) or flashing (users))???

I unlocked it with a code which works for telus, bell, rogers, fido. I flashed the phone with Wind SBF and inserted a working Wind SIM card, but it did not detect it. So the hardware for XT885 and XT886 is somewhat different? Would it work if i get unlock code for wind, mobilicity?

I guess for voice calling, you only need to use 2G network and it will work fine with different RazrV model. I suppose Wind mobile also has the same 2G frequency network so there should not be any problem on vocie calling on the 2G network. I am also using 2G network for my voice call as it uses less battery poweras compared to 3G or 4g network.

I was referring to data connection as this was what happened to me before. However, I have no problem with the voice calling function even I am using international ROM on my razrV or with my other phone. However, I am with Rogers but I am not sure about the wind network. I suppose the frequency here should all be the same here in Ontario so there should not be a problem as far as voice calling is concerned. Only the data network will be affected as it is controlled by the APN.

[deleted post]Yes, you cannot flash back to ICS from Jellybean. The reason you cannot connect back to Wind network is becasue the Accesspoint name setting have dissapeared. this happen everytime you flash to a rom of different country, so you have to mannually re enter those setting and save it. just go to setting, more, mobile network, access point name. click mannual button, click new apn, then enter those setting. After finish, click mannual button again to save it. you are good to go.
To those people who cannot connect it back to teh wind network. It is bcause your APN has been deleted. I ahve my RazrV unknocked and I am using it on Rogers network. Even I unknocked the network adn use teh Rogers Sim card after updating to Jellybean, I cannot connect to my Rogers network because the Access point name (APN)is dissapeared. I have to mannually entered teh settign and save it. therefore, You have to manually entered those settings manully after your update. Once you have entered it once and saved it, you are good to go with the Wind network or whatever network you are with. Hope this help.

Are you with Wind? Everything worked for me except not being able to connect to my home network. Let me know if it works for you if you're on wind. You may just wanna do it, it always takes forever for carriers in Canada to release updates, I'm so tired of waiting on them. They never give you a straight answer either
