I think the 2GB also is a strange spec. It will only drive the price of the phone up when you can just add support for SD High Capacity memory which goes beyond 2GB.
A wide screen is better for watching videos than a long screen. Plus it will make the phone shorter and more compact feeling.
If they squeezed the Z10 camera in this and took the 2GB internal memory out to save some money this would really pop. And put a nice external speaker in it.
It's part of Motorola's new philosophy of openness and expandability.
Imagine; 2gb on board with a 2gb card. Sharing and managing your collection of music and videos couldn't be easier.
the keypad is super cool... it's a phone i would definetly buy if it had a better camera... right now i'll prehaps put him on my list of consideration...
cool design and i love it! but it seems the screen is small for its body. it says on the specs that the screen size is a mere 2 inches. Here's my request, MAKE THE SCREEN SIZE BIGGER!! then perhaps i may consider buying a Motorola on my next phone.
This E8 will rocks that run on Linux Java platform. it got tons of internal memory... Morphing keys feature that keys light up only for the associated application. Slim design and wide screen for play high resolution movie. With FM radio.. WoW product from MOTO.
The users require feature pack units. This will unit hit a better result in the market.
Cool!! I like the design of keypad, but the display seems quite small.
its not strange for a 320x240 screen...it means if i'm not mistaken...landscape...its like the nokia E61i...and the samsung U100 i think...
Very interesting, i like the dual modes on the buttons and the 3.5mm head jack, nice!
Hi Ralfie, thanks for the feedback. Actually it should be that way, 3.5-mm is supposed to be standard interface and the better headphone should produce better sound.
I am talking of my experience with ROKR E6 (don't know about E2, since it is not widely available here in India, so can't comment on that). The same headphones (Creative HN-700) work nicely on SE Walkman phones when connected through the 3.5-mm jack on the wired hands-free and produce fabulous sound but sounded flat and low volume when connected to E6. Similar issue has been reported with Nokia Express Music series, especially 5700 that stock headphones work good and personal supposedly better quality headphones don't give desired sound quality.
Let's hope that was a problem only in that one E6 and not the phone itself by design.
One thing that is strange to me is the size of the screen. The specifications say 320x240. Hmm, I don´t think so. Unless, I couldn´t vizualize it only by looking to these photos, so, I expect that someone can tell me what is considered screen on this phone.
For sure I am going to buy this when this phone hit the matket. I am currently using Rokr E2 which is already very good. Can't wait
to Parag Shah. i used a KOSS ksc-75 wired earphone in my Motorola E2(which got 3.5mmjack). the sound is better than the stock earphone. motorola din't discriminate but it depend on the earphone itself. I used a $5 earphone and the sound is suck. Motorola stock earphone is good.
at first when i saw the pics without the key lights on...it looked kinda wierd..not to mention teh small screen....but this photos with the keys illuminated look really hot!! the os seems polished too....
