I previously posted that the battery life on my SLVR was terrible. it has since improved. Currently is has been 3.75 days and i still have 2 bars of battery remaining. Granted, I have been pretty unpopular this week and havent made too many calls, but thats still pretty impressive.

As for the people having the phone display Cingular instead of Tmobile, where did you buy the phone? Also, try setting your Network Settings to manual and select Tmobile.

My Slvr keeps displaying Cingular as the service provider when my provider is T-Mobile. The phone works fine. How do remove it?

I just received the phone. It looks great but is not as loud as my Nokia. It's black and picks up fingerprints easily. Bigger question, after I put in my sim the screen reads Cingular when my service is T-Mobile. Does anyone know how to fix this? Could someone please help me?

is there anyway to delete
the factory ringtones(tada,fanfare,ding,notify,etc..)
wallpapers, and screensavers
in order to have more free
phone memory?

also
why only 6mb of phone mem?
will there be a way to
combine the phone mem
with the 512 card?

Sensor for lights: SPV C500 that i had nearly 2 years ago had a light sensor, it conserves battery power by not having to light up the keyboard during the day!

Choice between between L7 and K750i?? K750i anyday (or even the W800i same stuff except W800 comes with stereo headsets and functions as a better mp3 player). Cuz then u get the 2 mega-pixel camera too! Sharing pictures and so on is a breeze. Motorola has extremely slow file transfer times using bluetooth compared to any other phone i have ever used (and i switch phones every 3 months for my secondary device - primary device is palmOne Treo 650 which i've had for 8 months now... try taking that off me!!!)

Got the SLVR on contract y.day! Im sad because little things like the blue light of the keypad sold it to me! It looks Gr8! Just one problem though, does ANYBODY know how to use songs on the memory card as ringtones? Compared to my other mediocre phones the lack of memory seems to be shocking! I cant even send picture messages as it tells me there is insufficient memory available! It was supplied ith a 64mb card, but im not into using my phone as an mp3 player, thats what mp3 players are for in my eyes! hehe! Any help would be FANTASTIC! Thanxs!

I have 'downgraded' from a K750i to SLVR L7 Today. Yes, this phone is just too beautiful to resist. To the person who can't decide which phone... it all depends on your needs. You would definitely choose SLVR L7 for looks and mp3 that's about it. For K750i, it's more about the internal stuff. Please try not to touch the Razrs... You would be holding a V3X but since everyone is using a razr.. it wouldn't matter..

L7 and razar V3i both have shrap's LCD, that is why these sets are worth to have as compare to razar V3 and L6. Large memory in shape of memory card is extra advantage.

"Can't decide betwen this phone, RAZR V3x, Sony Ericsson 750i, and soon to be available BenQ-Siemens S88. It seems to me biggest shortcoming of SLVR is not having a 3G capability and a crappy camera. I also think SLVR is just a marketing ploy and is really the same phone as original RAZR. Any thoughts? What about other 2 phones I've mentioned? From tech specs of BenQ-Siemens S88, it seems that it will be superior to others mentioned. Any ideas? What would you guys go with?"

All depends on your priority. I need pocket space so SLVR or RAZR fits me well. I dun feel "stuck" in the pocket when I sit down. left pocket SLVR right pocket iPod.

Too bad Razr V3i is not black, so I get SLVR.

Here it is guys. I know many of you have been waiting for it. I have finally found it. Cingular Branded L7 Firmware with Itunes!

This only works if your bootloader is 0A.20. so check your phones before you do anything! don't want to brick your phone. to check turn off your phone, and then hold * + # and power.

don't know why it only works on that bootloader for now but motorola made 2 different bootloaders. One is 0A.20 that works with Cingular software, and another bootloader (i forget the name) that works with others. don't know why, don't ask me lol.

S/W: R4517_G_08.C4.1ER
Flex: GSTROYBCIN01NA124
Language Pack: 0003
Bootloader : 0A.20

Look. You guys are going to ahve to let go of the old V3 once and for all. I had that phone for 9 months and it drove me crazy. it was like having a beautiful girlfriend and with doo for brains.
1. The address book only allowed one character input when searching for contacts. I have 600 numbers in my phone and this drove me crazy. Who was the retard @ Motorola that let that go for so long. This problem is corrected now.
2. The Razr is real slow compred to the SLVR.
3. iTunes (duh). The Razr (for now) doesn't support iTunes MP3 playback.
4. The Razr is smaller only when in the folded position. Since most actions are done why it is open, it is safe to say the SLVR is smaller. It is definitely thinner all the time.
5. To many people have the Razr now. When I start seeing people, who admired my Razr 8 months ago, acquiring it in droves, it's time to change. Even Sprint has that nasty little Razr knock-off now.
Please. I'll move on thanx. SLVR is a good phone so far (1 week) folks.

to the person about the fone covers...i have not known about any interchangable covers as this phone only comes in black, and is un-detachable from the rest of the machinery. So i'm pretty certain there is no way of changing the case, or would there be optional cases u can change into. Hope that helps!
