Purchased this fone a month ago and found it true to its functionality. Have though failed to get bluetooth working any insight or work around comments.
ok hey did u set the actual alarma tone right... you go to settings then ring styles and theres a button for alarms...
and then to switch the Phone book so it is changed to phone and not sim go to the # you want. . .
then click the edit and chnage it to the fone where it says "store to" and chnage to PHONE..
do you know how to chnage my itunes to ring tunes by any chance???
I have problem with the alarm. It rings whenever it wants...Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't..And I have it always on "active".. I was late at work because of it.. Awful..Also sometimes it rings with another ringtone and not with the one that i have set for all incoming calls..Note that my phonebook is not at the mobile memory but at sim card. Can anyone tell me how the hell can this happen??
Old Fred - I think you just have fat fingers, cos I have no trouble at all texting with this great fone
On the Motorola Website the memory on the SLVR is up to 512MB. How can this be up to 1GigB??
The slvr is not the phone for you if you do texting. the buttons are too close together, and do not have a positive action. they feel "wooly". the keypad reflects light making the buttons hard to see. If you are used to nokia predictive text, motorola version will drive you mad. Great looking phone, fantastic as a neck pendant, but little else. hope this helps you.
I heard this phone wasnt good for people who prefer texting, is this true? Email me, firstname.lastname@example.org
Take out the word remove. I dont want email thingys picking up my address. Thanks!

To delet factory ring tones:
>go to any one u want to delete(highlight or w.e)
>u should see the delet button
**now if only u knew how to put my itunes songs as ringtones??
Ok..so does anyone know how to get around to deleting the factory ring tones? I don't have enough space on my phone..
Thanks for your help. I got it now! I have my ringtones! Now I'm glad I don't have to buy them anymore. Thanks again.
same steps in the beginning
1. Create a ringtone specific playlist, and drag the songs you want to the list.
2. Go to the playlist, highlight a song, and navigate to "Get Info"
3. Click "Options" adjust start and stop times.
4. Go to iTunes Preferences > Advanced > Importing
Settings- Import Using: mp3 encoder
Setting: Custom (32kbps mono, 22.050 khz, mono, optimized)
5. Playlist > select all > right click convert selection to mp3.
6. go to library and look for the song or songs that were converted to mp3, make sure that are converted down to about 15-20 seconds. Highlight the songs you intend to send to your phone. Right click mouse, and copy.
7.connect your phone via usb to your computer, go to MY Computer and open your slvr phone, from there click on Mobile, then you want to just high light ringtones folder, then you Right click mouse and Paste.
The ringtones you made should download, the phone takes awhile to download, make sure you give it some time. when done disconnect phone from computer.
8. (on your phone) go to My Stuff/sounds/switch storage device to card-sliver. your new ringtones should be there, go ahead and move each one to phone memory. once you have done that you are set. you can now go into your phone memory when in Sounds and apply your ringtones.
