my L7 shows voicemail icon although i have checked and deleted all voicemail messages...how do i make that icon on the screen go away...also under messages it continues to show 1 message under voicemail...please help...

Copy the Mp3 from the Trans Flash card in to the phone memory... then you can choose the mp3 file as a ringtone!!! :-) I´m the GuRu..

about the battery life,for me i use L7 as mp3 as well,and i use a lot of time playing mp3 so it last almost 2 days ++ but i tried din play mp3 and used for some calls amd sms it last around 4 days.U might only need to charge ur phone once a week unless u on ur phone but wont use it at all...hehehe

to me the software is not that slow but messaging using dictionary is slow.
for video recording more longer time u need to edit ur phone software and i dun think u can download anything to fix it.if u wanna edit go to this page: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=260697

about the comparison between L7 and V3i is depends on what u want in ur phone.If u wannna mp3 phone i will suggest L7 bcoz from what i read the iTunes in V3i only able to play 50 songs and even u wanna use the intergrated sound player also have some problem because after u closed ur flip it will close ur sound player.btw try a real phone is better.hehe

about the keypad light,it will brighten up when u are in a insufficient light condition area and when u r under the sun it will not brigthen up because it has a light sensitive diode near by the button where to open the cover.IF when u r in a dark room but still keypad wont lighten up that means is YOUR L7 got problem.

hello,
if you check on Ebay you mostly find that standby time is up to 140h in stead of the 350h announced on gsmarena. Also on other sites I find 140h?
I'm willing to buy this phone if I only have to charge it once a week.
What are your experiences?

mykel, go to the shop that sells both the L7 n V3i n test it out( test the actual unit, not dummy-set) n then u decideds. V3i has better camera resolution, their internal memory is also low. n basically both are the same except that it is clamshell n candy-bar shape.
