MOTO runs in java platform there is no OS as such you can not read PDF word or excel or PPT documents you can read those files only in NOKIA or any other Symbian OS or window os or in some of the Samsung phones
Can you tell me;

l9 sound is very low and camera quality is also very bad its very poor phone its my experience
Hello dudes, hey i've got this L9 for almost one yr now, so far, no problem at all, yeah it's a bit difficult to send sms if you dont long nails, otherwise clear sound, good FM reception, good size,i would say nce set.
Someone help!! Can this phone really be THAT stupid? If I had my bluetooth headset activated in the car while driving, and I've put it aside in the mall and have the actual phone handset in my hand. When I answer a phone call ON the phone itself? why would it be DUMB enough to go to the bluetooth headset... ??? My Sony-Ericsoon could easily distinguish if I am on the handset or headset.. and if not, it would ask when i would dial out, that do you wish to transfer to your phone? This phone just automatically sends everything to the bluetooth headset regardless of whether or not you may have it on your ear! Any fixes for this?
I have this phone for 2 months now and I'm really satisfied with the features it has.
-fullscreen video & playback
-very affordable price!!!! yeaH!!!
The only complain I have for this phone is about the Screen3 feature which really sucks plus the inability to customize the left & right softkeys. This though can be removed thru modding.
All in all, SLVR L9 is a good phone packed with good features at an affordable price.
If you are on a tight budget and still you want a sleek and stylish phone with some nifty features, then this is the phone for you!!!!
for my moto l9

has anyone used the fm radio on this phone with a generic headset? I want to get this phone, but I also want to use my own headphones for the radio. I had problems with my samsung e210, as every headset I got worked but did not connect to the FM antenna so there was really bad reception. Thanks

This is not a bad phone for calls and texting. Voice quality is good and CrystalTalk really helps in noisy conditions. On one occasion I made a call near an idling jet plane - and I could be heard clearly.
Messaging support is not the best, but definitely solid with features like auto-cleanup and sorting. You can store about 500 text messages on the phone.
FM radio works as advertised and reception is good, except if you use 3rd party headset or even Motorola original headset for V3i/L7 (which looks exactly the same, but without "FM" label). I haven't seen headsets for L9 on sale anywhere, so don't lose yours if you want good radio reception.
Despite that it comes with 1GB microSD card (expandable up to 2GB), it's not suitable as an MP3 player because of the poorly implemented user interface.
There's no music library and finding the right track is a pain in the ass.
The built-in player doesn't play whole albums - if you want to play more than a single track, you have to create a playlist and it's very cumbersome.
A2DP (stereo bluetooth) support is heavily advertised on the box, in the manual and in the phone itself. However, the sound quality even with Motorola's own bluetooth headphones (S9) is so poor that makes you want to throw the phone against the wall in despair. So your best bet is using good old-fashioned wired headphones (miniUSB -> 3.5 mm jack adapters are available online).
One last thing that most other reviewers overlook is that L9 has surprisingly good video player. It can play MP4 video in fullscreen with resolution up to 352x288@25 fps with bitrates up to 900kbps and stereo AAC audio.
However, screen size is only 220x176 (in landscape mode), so if you convert DVDs or other sources to watch them on L9, use that resolution - it takes less resources and looks better.

nice phone , especially when you have 2 gb tf card in it , with hour long mixes and movies ! , rsa is not yet removed that is the only thing i don't like about this phone right now , to store music and movies just switch your connection to memory card and windows will pop up with a removable drive , all you have to do is copy and paste your music , videos , pictures but make sure you put them in the right folder. Email me if you need help with your L9.
