i have two phone like that
I would like to buy one of these again, I loved how loud they were with speakerphone on. It had many common since qualities that now a days phones don't even have. Anyone know of a place that still sells them???
My first ever Internet phone, and restored my faith in Motorola after the joke they call the D520, and didn't have home internet at the time so spent an absolute fortune browsing on this.

Is your phone keypad not yet erased? even the housing? Ive been using this phone for almost 5 years. The durability no question is 100% even plus.
Still using this phone today, very durable, been through a bit of wear and tear but still works fine, open it up and it says "made in Germany" now I can see why this has lasted for so long.
no mater if your phone named MOTOROLA 'couse those phone are very hardy phones,i'm also using moto phone i droped it several times but theres no mater to me
Ive been using a Motorola Timeport 280 phone in the Philippines for the last three years. It is NOT stylish or beautiful but is the most durable cellfone I have ever owned. This phone has been dropped several times, endures the 90% humidity of the Philippines and has never required repair nor battery replacement. Additionally the Motorola charger has functioned without problems for three years - compare this to the Nokia 3315 charger (we have to replace it every 2-3 months) and our Nokia 3315 requires service every time it is dropped

r moto people r u crazy!,u think people would still like to be seen with a mobile fone which looks like this anywhere close to them!
For the first time in the history of mobile world, MOTO T280 is one of the finest handset i had never ever seen.
Long Lasting battery, elegant look & easy to use as well as small in size.
You will never be deceived by purchasing of this handset.
useless...........
flimsy battery cover, hard to remove sim clip slot, weird ringtone composer but good battery life, good reception and clarity and not bad for a no frills phone.
voicestream - or T-mobile used to sell the phone with the necessary software and data cable to connect to internet and i was able to use my laptop to browse internet.
Does anybody know how we can connect this phone to PC - to log on to the internet? I need the drivers and software for it? Please advise if you can.
Thanks
Incredible Phone! This is one of the best phones I've ever had. From its ease of operation to its robust construction this phone never failed to make my situation easier to deal with and/or simpler to expedite whenever that situation involved processing voice or data on the go. I'm still kicking myself in the ass (after a bit of yoga) for letting that phone go! CB
I bought a Motorola280 recently. The battery needs replacement.I am from India, and I just do not know where or how to do it as it is not available where I live in India. Can someone help?
Apart from a creaky battery door, it is a very good phone( very good reception and outgoing voice). For someone who wants only a phone end not a gadget phone.
This is the dumbest, crudest, buggiest, stupidest, crappiest phone ever. No more Motorola for me.
Can this phone Motorola Timeport 280 be "unlocked"?
