I love the motorola
its so hot
i dont have pxt but im ugly anyway so who cares?
Yay it was love at first sight it's be-utiful and the features suit me fine! All I need is a good camera, video and pxt =)
It has all of these and a bonus of an mp3 player plus mobile tv! I am definitely getting this phone, there's no other option!
I answer to jack's questions:
*video recording last max 3 minutes;
*you can use the voice recording utility only if you are "writing" an MMS.. you cand send it in the message, but you can't save it in your phone (unless you send yourself an MMS!); the recorded format is an AMR 8,000khz..
*to be honest the phone is quite easy to use;
*i find the phone's software appereance not at all cool, so every function isn't very nice to look at.. anyway I think the audio player has a very good quality, both in earphones and through the mono speaker.. even the video player is quite good: you can see really well mp4 movies @ full screen thanks to its 240X320 pixel display.. The camera, althought it's 1,3 mpix, doesn't do really good photos, in particular when there isn't natural lightning..but they are more than ok..the digital zoom isn't very useful.. the videoclips aren't very good and the zoom is not fluid like in the SE v800 for example.. the image viewing is annoying: one buys a phone with a huge display, and can't see his photos @ full screen (only half is used to see the photos).. and there's NO bluetooth.. shame because the main disgrace of this phone is the software, that ruins a phone that could be much better than it actually is..
Actually you can only set as ringtones non-protected mp3s.. to put the songs on the phone from the computer you just have to put the trans flash card into the adapter and then put it into a memory card reader, that costs peanuts.. then you just have to drag&drop the songs you want in the folder named "audio".. easy! I can confirm from here in Italy that this phone has NO bluetooth when sold by Vodafone.. But since I still haven't seen a no-vodafone-branded V1050, it's very unlikely that a V1050 with Bluetooth will ever exist.. even if there are some websites that include it in the features of this phone.. Jack, could you tell us something more about V1050's Bluetooth in New Zealand? Any way, you can find lots of information about this phone @ this forum: http://www.forumcommunity.net/?c=11364.. its in italian, but there's also an English version.. XD
whats the connection thing that you have to use to put the songs onto the phone from the computer? where can u buy it in ireland??
I want to buy the Motorola V1050 simply because the text is big, I am in Ireland and locked into the 02 network at present can I buy this phone somewhere besides in a vodaphone outlet and use my present sim card on the o2 network. Thanks.
Becarefull, Spanish model HAS NOT bluetooth. I'm spanish and a friend buyed it, so, confirmed, hasn't bluetooth
I have been looking around. I am in New Zealand and the Motorola does have Bluetooth. I think all you need to do is before you do anything go into settings and clikc restore factory settings. ALl vodafone has done is tricked you into thinking it doesnt have bluetooth. Could someone plz give me specific details such as:
*How long the video recording is
*Whats the quality of voice recording like?
*Is it easy to use?
*other cool features
Thanks very much. Much appreciated.
I'm looking around at reviews. Is it really worth buying? Or is it better to save my money and get a 3g phone when they come down in price?
hello. is anyone using this motorola v1050 with Cingular?, i can't connect to the internet, I called Cingular and they told me that they don't support this motorola v1050, i tried to enter the settings my self but I'm still not able to connect to the internet, also I'm using a mac computer, the only way i see to transfer MP3 and video is via SD card reader, I'm going to the store right now to buy the reader, because using the usb cable on my mac, no way I will be able to transfer mp3 and video...
Bought one in Ireland for 79 euro, spent another 40 euro on a 256MB TransFlash card.
Very nice display, camera ok, quite heavy.
Can anyone tell me how to view a picture full-screen?
When I view a Picture or a Picture Album, half the screen is taken up with the menu, controls, etc.
What's the point in having a 320x240 screen if you can't use it?
Also, is it possible to rotate pictures?
answer for Martin Moloney:on this phone there isn't special player for MP3.you play MP3 music like any other melody.Connect you phone with PC,take MP3's from PC and put them on your Mototola V1050.It is easy,isn't it?
I thing that this phone is one of the best ones,because he has 262.000 colours,TFT color display,perfect camera and video,but there is one BIG mistake....he dont has bluetooth or infrared.can somebody tell me how much this phone cost?in Irland,he cost about 200$ but you must use only vodafon network.
Gee, what a beautiful phone. It is such a pity that it does not have bluetooth!!!!!!!!!!
