im so excited about getting this phone my twin sister is getting a different phone its a sagem its a flip camera ble phone it ROX but i love this phone even MORE!!!!
u can git hte software from usb-drivers.com its called p2k manager ,,, dum bots
u can have about 30-50 photos at a time at vga resolution. and you can have quite a few mp3 ringtones too, provided they're not cd tracks that go for ages...they won't fit :-)
for those guys living in australia (sydney, specifically):
the reception works really really great, i've tried calls and the person on the other side gets everything i say, no probs. i'm surprised people say it has poor reception, but that would depend on service provider and location i guess.
hello...i want to buy a v220...what do you say? is it good...it isn't?
i'm interested to know how many photos and mp3 ringtones u can have at a moment...
does the mobile have video recorder? i am aspecting a respons imediately...email me plsz..firstname.lastname@example.org
good little unit. going great for the price. also availible for $15 a month. no problems selling it cause it sells itself.
this is a review from a teenager, first-time budget mobile buyer who's had the phone for a week:
Absolutely love it! Nice silver coating and bluish-black front screen panel. Keypad is standard, with scroll keys and voice key on the sides. Camera is smack bang in the middle: looks quite good, though that's an individual opinion.
Hey, it's AUS$199! That's a good price for a phone with camera, mp3 ringtones, organizer, etc. and the animated menu looks very nice.
Screen/Camera quality: 9/10
The screen may look small, but when you're using it you'll notice it's not that bad. i had doubts before purchasing it, but i'm fine now. unless you're a big multimedia person, it's enough. The VGA camera is decent, and the pictures look good on the computer and on the phone. Just note that digital zoom takes exactly the same size picture, but the area you've selected gets expanded, thus the resolution lower, and not as good quality. I don't know whether that's the same for every phone, but i'm sure digital zoom's like that. BOTTOM LINE: just don't zoom, pictures look great without it.
Some find motorola phone menus confusing, some find 'em a sinch. The truth is, everything's completely accessible, just READ THE MANUAL, that's what it was for! Things like games are easy to find, while smaller features need more attention. Keypad shortcuts are changeable, soft keys are too, which is excellent!
I'll admit its memory is no big thing...but 1.8MB is quite substantial, considering photos and music can be transferred to and from computer whenever needed. Pictures on VGA resolution are about 40-60kb, so that's still a lot of pictures at a time.
Battery Life: 9/10
I've been using this phone so much i can't be sure, but the hours i've used it seem to match its description (about 5-6). Charging from zero to full is about 3.5 hours.
A complete phone, highly successful, recommended for a budget user who wants an extraordinary experience out of their phone. Congrats Motorola!
PS I'm interested to know what others think about this phone, especially the ones with more money, therefore more choice. any comments would be highly appreciated.
everytime i log onto MEdia net, i get this message saying data server not available. what does this mean? and could someone tell me how to email a picture from my phone to my computer?
hi all ive had the motorolan v220 for about 6 months it is a good little phone but im disapointed with the camera as it was not as good as i hoped and the front of my screen has craked apart from that its is an ok phone 6/10
Can you save the recorded voice message without sending it first? If so, how?
To all those dopes who couldn't find the voice key:
Well, to be honest, it took me a while to find it too. It's on the right hand side (the side button with the circle thing and sound rays...see it?)
And make sure you press AND release it before speaking a voice tag.
I have a motorola v220 and i think it is weird. i can't go on the internt because it takes too long to connect and wastes my credit, therefore i can't get any good ringtones. i really want to upload my pictures from it to my computer and i have the usb lead but i dont have the software. can someone help?
Where iz the voice recorder? And what iz wrong with the camera but besides that the fone iz great.
heeeey.the fone is great i love it!but can you record videos on it..because it comes with a video of skiing.
Can I get a receipt for a text message sent and opened by the person I'm sending too?
I need software for Motorola V220. Somebody know where can i found this for download ?
to record voice from MMS, it said to press the voice key. What is the voice key? i tried pressing and holding the green button when you dial a call but nothing is happening.
