I just got the phone yesterday and I can't figure out how to change the ringtone .Does anyone know how to change or get to the ringtones?
You can always e-mail yourself the pictures... with the cellular... thats at charges for shure... and also why they are not in a hurry to get the program out... I am still looking for a program that can do the job :(
Well, I guess I'm sort of glad to see that I'm not alone here. Just tried to get the pics off the phone. I was hoping the manual (which I never read) would help, but the word "software" is not even in the book! 90 days is a long time to wait. Why does it take pics if you can't download them????
Hi! I Love the phone (got it for 12 hours), but... where is the cable and the pc program... can't find nowhere to download it from.. I got the cable from an other camera... Ah! Motorola
i live in Pakistan and i have a motorola v220 but it is lock i want to open its lock please give me its software i will be thank u very much.
Just got the phone yesterday and am still having problems figuring out the menus. There are so many sub-menus and the like that is is tough to remember where I saw where to change my ringtones! Also, the manual is totally useless. It is really hard to find where anything is because nothing is where it should be. So it is learn as you go with this phone. I do love the camera though and I like that I can make my pics wallpaper or screensaver. The battery is terrible. My phone goes dead very easily then it takes hours to charge it up again.
love the phone, ok pics arent brill quality but your not paying much for all it offers ......... however after buyig the cable and software !! i still cant get the damned thing to work, installed the phonetool, updated it, tried the links on here now getting very frustrated, Anyone offer any new links??
Motorola does it again. Puts a product on the market before support items are available. No software available for the PC to Phone upload/ download! I like the product but find it a liability if you have an extensive phone directory list. If the phone goes up so does my directory list. No back-up capability. Can't save my directory to my PC, can't do direct picture downloads to the PC, can't get PC download ring tones, etc.
No wonder Motorola is in a failure mode since late nineties. Overall all I do like the product, but late to market and no support after it gets there detracts from its usability. Is this just another ploy to sell the product to create a demand for the software and accessories and then charge exorbitant prices when and if they do make it to market? Do they delay the availability so the users are forced into using the airwaves for up/ downloads to further profit the phone companies?
I found the received speaker audio acceptable unlike a previous poster. The party on the other end said it had a hollow sound like most all other speaker phones.
Recommendation. If you need a phone now, look carefully at the competition to see if they have the aftermarket support products you want/ need before you buy the phone. If so you may want to consider buying the competition. Or, you can wait on Motorola to back its product after you make the purchase, of course that is up to you. Nobody at the AT&T store was sure when the aftermarket products will be available, except to say “Soon”. When asked “How soon, a blank expression came over their faces. “Soon”, yea right!
dnt buy it the camera looks like a sort of zit or something coz of the silver shiny bit around it! the screen quality is the pits and it keeps on freezing (t-mobile in the uk)
Phone sucks hard to use no software for picutes. about equal to a cheap bottom of the line phone.
i just got my v220 and i noticed there was a usb port in it. so i was messing around and found i have a usb cord that fits perfectly and i tried to install the phone to my computer but it says i need the software. does anybody know where i can get the software????
the motorola v220 i believe it has a very poor capacity when it comes to camera and the speaker sounds so-awful it doesn't have enough capacity to sounds like a music
by the way.. once you have the mobile phone tools .. you can forget about all the money-hungry ring tone suppliers.. you can simply upload midi files (free online) or other music files as you wish..
looking for updates to V220 mobile phone tools?.... this is where i found them "ftp://ftp2.bvrp.com/motorola/".. but you need to install the original version as per "JTang".. then you can update the new one.. and then .. all is set to go...or you can try "http://www.vphonecases.com/downloads.html" .. i hope this helps....
THE place for hard to find accessories for this new model is on Ebay.
I've had mine 1 week & love it so far, still having problem getting my old number ported, though.
