Yeh, you can use MP3 Ringtones/music for incoming messages and alarms. You can store you sound files on either the phone's memory or the memory card (I recommend the card as it has nearly 60mgs more storgae than the phone itself does). If you are going to use an MP3 ringtone, the file must be stored to the phone, and if the file is good quality, it most likely won't fit on the phone's memory. You won't need the whole song in your ringtone though, so i suggest shortening it using a program (Windows Movie Maker is good enough).
You can install java games to the memory card. Install the game and then press the top middle button (the one with the four horizontal lines on it) and "Move" the game across to the memory card. You can also transfer games off your computer to the phone, using a usb cable.
Searching for names is easy. Go into your contacts and scroll, or press a button on the phone, and it will take you to the contacts with names starting with that letter (for example pressing "3" will take you to the contacts starting with the letter "d").
Hope that helps.
Can somebody tell me can I use MP3 Ringtones for Incoming messages & Alarm also if they are stored on memory card plus can install java games on memory card.
Secondly is searching of names in phonebook is easy like nokia and sony ericsson.
memory card goes in just below the battery. Dont know about the voice names.
Can someone pliz tell where to put the memory card and how do I store voice names in the phone book so that I can use voice dial.
I have been using Motorola V360 mobile for about 8 months. I like this model and its features. But I missed the softwrae CD that is used to connect the mobile with computer. I searched the web, but unable to find the exact software download site. Please could someone send me the exact software to the e-mail address given below:
since when this became an old motorola phone? plz send a comment responding to this plz
the phone keeps saying gprs not available, what should i do? please e-mail me at email@example.com. thanks
The phone is amazing. The most capable and customizable phone you could get for this price.
Try P2K tools (there are many) and motomidman to do whatever you may want with it.
But BE CAREFUL of what you're doing :).
You can install java apps and games, change skins, ringtones, menus, wallpapers, change phone settings (YES, the video recording length also - P2K Advanced Editor ;) ), and also flash, flex the phone... EVERYTHING.
I say again. BE CAREFUL. You might mess up the phone otherwise.
Mp3's only work with a maximum 192kbps bit rate, so be careful. With a higher bitrate there will be errors. You can find mp3 players as java apps if you don't have one installed (even a lite version of Winamp).
If you want to watch movies, convert them to 3gp - ex: 700MB avi file -> 80MB 3gp file. If you have a 512 MB TransFlash is more than enough. The image is very clear. The sound... good (because of the amr codec, I couldn't make it work with an mp3 codec)
Very good phone. Thumbs up Moto.
pls help me. i have motorola v360. i use it as a modem. i have installed software correctly. but sometime motorola tools shows meessege " phone is nit connected". at this movement if i will remove USB cable and reconnect it than it will run again for some time. after one hour or more time again same meesege will be there. can u tell me where is the problem.
I had been using this phone for almost a year now. got no problems using it. it's great. clear and crisp sounds. no other phones can match this phone when it comes in playing MP3's. using motorola software makes it it even better when conected to a computer. use it as a modem to browse the internet. above all? Love your V360 phone and your phone will last a lifetime. :)
This phone sucks, i hate it, it has a bad software that its not always working, it freezes
my v360 screen when open has gone white, i cant do anything...shows time and date when closed.......woopie.....anyone else had these probs?
they say this is a mobile phone with mp3...it's actually a mp3 player with mobile phone features. As a phone...it sucks as an mp3player thumbs up for motorola :))
hi, i have a v360 and my problem is sending mms pictures and video clips. I can send pictures but the recipient cannot open them and the video clips do not get delivered at all to the recipient for some reason (sent in mms format) even though the network is taking the money for this and my v360 tells me it has been sent!!!!! help!!!! am i doing something wrong??!!
i handle repairs of cellphones and although motorola is a good brand, there have been plenty of problems with the v360. mostly software glitches and instances where the phone suddenly freezes.
this phone is rather disgusting. in trinidad it is rated less than a cepep phone. i am sorry that kriztian ramcharitar
and i even bought this phone.
will someone please explain the differences between the motorola v360 and the v360v vodafone model. some say that their exactly the same, some say their not.
the only thing is that there should be a lock code for the motorola so that it cannot be broken by the original code
