Let me recap about Motorola V3X and let me do it so that it will drive home my point.

Have you ever felt insecure to leave your phone in the drawer while you go and have shower?

Do you feel that no one should secretly read your SMS?

Do you feel that sometimes leaving your phone in the drawer is unsafe becoz all it takes is a few seconds for your loved ones to sneak and peek at your phone photos? or multimedia? or sms? or your diary maybe?

Wasnt there a time when someone answer the hp 'on your behalf' -like your wife - while you were in the bathroom?

Do you know that missed calls' can reveal a lot of information to 'spies'?

FORGET IT - THEY CANNOT DO IT IF YOU USE MOTOROLA V3X!!!!!

LISTEN CLOSELY:

Motorola is the ONLY cellphone in the world to have a no-nosense phone lock, a no nonsense application lock.

Please dont be fooled by "keypad lock" or SIM lock or the like. I repeat, Motorola has NO competitor when it comes to phone privacy or phone lock in the truest sense of the word.

If you value your privacy more than the stupid phone-MP3 'me too' phone, then get them. But Motorola V3X has THEM ALL.

No this review must be awesome.

V3x is far better phone than Nokia 6230i. V3x has better and bigger display than 6230i, the keypad is more comfortable, the camera is better, phonebook also, and pretty much everything. The only drawback is the lack of call filter.

Can anyone tell me how I can keep the backlight on on the V3x as it appears to only go on periodically. Someone said that it's saving battery but I actually would like to have it go on every time I open the phone. Would appreciate comments.

Does this phone have key lock. Sometimes when I pick my phone up I find the camera on. The side keys are easily bumped.

Dont worry mate... ur battery performance will improve after a few charge and discharge cycles.

Also you need to set up your text input method to Itap (i.e ur primary input method)... Click on "Create Message" ... go to Set up.. then change ur options to what you want.

Hi, I just got this phone on an upgrade. It really is great. Only down points are:
- the battery (see other posts, although this did not put me off getting it) - it is worse than i thought, and needs recharging each night... but that doesn't really bother me too much, its just remembering!
- Texting - i'm finding it really tidious when trying to predictive text - and why does it automatically revert to non predictive each time you send a new message?!

Other than that phone is fine and i'll get used to it.

Mate,

The V3x has 65mb internal memory and also expandable up to 512mb extra by using the SD card that comes with the phone. Note that there are now 1gig and 2gig mini SD cards so thus, you can have a total of 2Gig and 65MB.

The 5MB you saw was for the normal..original v3.

My video records up to 1hr... but after upgraded my software. When it was normal Orange software the maximum was 30mins.

I have this phone, and i am very impressed. I do thing that review is a bit unfair, the camera is absolutely fantastic, and the photos come out well on the computer.

62MB memory is a very good amount, in comparison to other phones currently out, plus the memory card slot which is very very useful.

The video length is 10 minutes, which is very fair i think, and the video quality is very impressive too.

The display is fantastic! i actually havent seen a better display around, the screen is very very clear, and photos taken on the camera, then put as backgrounds come up very well.

the battery life is satisfactory. I use my phone alot, and it lasts two days, but to be fair, i go to a school where there isnt much signal, so the phone does use a lot of power.

I don't know why everyone is slagging off the mp3 player, i think its great, the phone ssupports a lot of formats, and i actually do believe that the quality is better than my ipod. and yes there are headphones.

If you are considering to buy this, then do, its a very good phone, the only thing it really lacks is a radio, but if you connect to the internet, then you can listen to it on there :) so no worries :)

super phone, 9/10, im a very harsh critic, and this phone is super!

Jayendra,

your phone's software was changed by your service provider.(vodafone, 3, virgin, orange). All you have to do is flash it in order to get the phones original software.(go see a phone specialist to get it flashed).
