Great Phone, It looks so cool in black compared to the silver v500 e.t.c. Took a while to get MMS and GPRS working on o2 but eventually found the settings at http://grapnel.co.uk/v620/Settings/MMS.GPRS.WAP/ and now it's works perfectly. Camera is great for it's size although video is still a bit fuzzy. 5mb memory seems small but i've got over 20 games on mine easy.. Great Phone !!! :-)
The reason why many of you are having WAP, MMS, and other problems with the V620 is because you never upgraded the phone memory. The CD software and data cable that is included are all that you need to upgrade the phone. The phone software that is in the V620 is actually the V600. The CD software takes care of this and ALL the problems. Upgrade the phone before posting negative messages.
I would like to know how much user memory there is actually available on this phone. I have read somewhere that there is three video clips on that take up 3mb of the 5mb space, and they cannot be deleted. Is this true? What can anyone do with 2mb?
How is the sound quality? Is it anything like the c380 or e398?
I have had motorola since 1998, but if this phone is as bad as everyone says, I am switching to the Samsung d500 (also a very buggy phone, I believe)
How long does the battery last on average, and does the black show damage easily?
Any answers will be appreciated.
Hi i was thinkin of buyin this phone and have heard many different opinions about it, but all i wud like to know is if its a good buy fro me, being a teenager and all, what i really wont on it is a mp3 player, video, bluetooth, but iv heard that u cant fit many mp3's on it, is this true? could some write bk 2 me soon bcuz im goin on holiday soon n i wud apreciate it thanx xxxxxxx
Thanks for replying to my query Mood. I tested this phone before and found out that there is no zoom in the camera. The 'zoom' function can only work only after the picture is taken. Anyone care to clarify on this? To Danny: You can buy a USB Bluetooth adapter for your computer and synchronize them together by turning on the phone's Bluetooth function. Hope that helps :)
I work for a phone company and so when i saw the specs of this phone i though it did look rerally good for the price. Instead what i got was pretty rubbish phone. It does look nice and has a good screen but there were to many problems with it to make it even half decent. For a start sticky buttons and a well below average predictive texting system and compicated menus compared to other phones ment genaral phone usage and getting set up for mss and gprs was a pain. Also the bluetooth is poor and you have to switch `find me ` on in the bluetooth settings if you want someone send you anything. Also only 5mb of memory with no ability to expand it is not only poor buy pointles as you can have mp3s for ringtones and has an mp3 player in it, but with only 5mb you only have room for one or two songs!!!. I ended up selling my v620 on ebay and using the money i got to buy a Nokia 6670 and its awesome. Its much easier to use and the screeen is huge and clear with a 1megapixle camera. Plus it comes with 64mb memory card as standard and a usb line to conect it staright to your pc so you can drag and add with ease. So Although the motorola looks vey sexy the nokias are just so much easier to use and are better made.
amazing phone but 1 thing how do you upload pixs from your phone to the computer i bought a usb plug that go's from my phone to computer but the program is stupid anyone know any programs that will work
To mel ... yes this phone has a 4x zoom in the camera ...i tried it yesterday at a motorola store ...pictures are great also , though video resolution is nothing to write home about
How can I FIND A software to get my pictures via bluetooth with v620 . where is it?
I am strongly comsidering purchasing this phone .Does anyone know if it connects directly to the BlueTooth hub connected to the usb on the pc or do i have to purchase Mobile Phone Tools?
Also does it play mp3s normally or just as ringtones ?
I want to purchase this phone. But whats the difference between the V600i and V620. Can i use the v600i in australia?
I have to give credit to a company that could come up with a phone whose most important feature - the ring - is so low you're going to miss every call unless you have the phone glued next to your ear. And Motorola's website service is lousy - I've asked several times about this problem and no one ever bothers to respond. Lousy service, lousy phone.
