HI - I have just purchased a v66 very cool for 39.99 plus contract, but received no manual - anyone know what site I can get one?
Thanks James. I've just spoken to Orange and they will not give a date. In fact they said they still don't know if they are bringing it out - "it's under review at the moment..."
Rumours that it will be available as of September 20th on the Orange network. Go to www.mobileshop.co.uk and click "Comming Soon".
I've checked the manual. It simply says the number you can store depends on the length of the messages and the number of other messages and drafts you store in the phone. Hmmmmm.
please can you tell me how many sms messages this handset can store. is it the usual 10 with any motorola or can it store up to 100 as with the nokia 6210
I'l like to buy motorola V.66 how can I contact you for that please send me information
Does anyone know when this phone is actually going to be available on Orange. No one seems to be able to give me a proper answer!
I was thinking about buying this phone, but eventually I've chosen for the Ericsson T39m. The Ericsson has more cool functions (IRDA, Bluetooth, ...), has better battery performance and is cheaper.
As this phone is GPRS capable, does anyone know how well it handles data? What speeds is it capable of? How about the cost for data service?
From previous experience, Motorola always give figures that you might expect in real life. For example, my V50 gave 130 hours standby with 20 mins talk time when I first had it. That compares *very* favourably with Motorola's own figures (120+ standby, 3+ talktime ). Compare that with the Samsung and I think you will find the Motorola works out better. However, I do note that the capacity of the battery has dropped from 600 Mah ( V50 ) to 500 Mah ( V66 ). It will be interesting to see how the performance compares with the V50. Perhaps the person who has actually received a V66 can inform us. Was that in the UK, BTW ?
Motorola v66 is not as nice as v60c. Why cann't Motorola make caller ID before opening the cover as in v60c. I guess Nokia favors European GSM and Motorola favors CDMA. Soon, Motorola will realize that GSM is more important!
Isn't the battery performance a little too small when you campare it with the newest (and also verry small) samsung, nokia and ericsson phones ?
I just got the phone. It is awesome. New menu system from Motorola. However I need a holster and ear piece for it. If anyone knows where to buy a holster let me know.
Can't wait for this phone ! If you can't, checkout for some nice stuff !
Got the official word from Motorola, the V66 *SHOULD* be released on ORANGE by end of August or early September. V66 should be released on all other networks September time!
