great phone with excellent design. look at the new nokia's 7200 series; design that sucks!
v80 is and stayed unique on the market!
Must say that the swivel of the v80 works better than the SE s700. My brother has the s700 and that swifelsystem sucks! Afcourse you handle this one with care, it's costs enough the treat it like trash.
V80 is great!
i just bought the phone and... it looks great! the things that bother me are: no infrared port and the lack of cool deafult ring tones :)
the joystick seems a little over the edge, but.. as with any other phone: you must be gentile with it.
Some say up here that the quality sucks etc. I have this phone now for a 1/2 year, and everything works as new. No broken joystick, no backlash in the battery cover, no bad reception etc.
This is a good phone. Has the best design ever made. Nothing wrong about this v80.
p.s. the battery works for 3 days at regular use, and the camera isn't so bad what some others say here.
I bought this phone 1 week ago and all my friends want to look and touch it all the time. They think its the best looking phone they seen, and i think so too.
This is a great phone!!.The best phone i had so far.The display is great! The sound is loud and great quality. The design is great!Only negative is the camera quality.
Sorry my bad english!:)
The LIVING NIGHTMARE of all phones.
This is seriously the worst phone I have ever owned.
I have had it for three months and it has been replaced four times. The green knob on the joystick has come off three times and the swivel rotator swivelled off the last time. The softare is so bugged - that it can suddenly start ringing, and there is no-one on the other end - the ony way to stop it ringing is to take the battery off of the back as it freezes not only the screen but all the buttons including the on/off switch. The menus freeze at least once a day and the battery has to be charged up every night.
I have dropped my phone whilst it was in my bag and cracked the screen internally and so now I cannot use the phone at all.
I really would steer well clear of the Motorolla V80 if you know what's good for you - The flashing lights really aren't worth the hassle!
P.S. - If anyonw knows where to buy replacement screens I would be grateful.
Really cool phone...if you like the attention! had it for over 4 months...evrything works fine except for 2 things...(which isn't that much of a pain)
1st: very easy to scratched and get scuff marks
2: Every-once in awhile the phone menu option freezes on me (but easily fixed..turn phone off..turn phone on)
other than that it's a nice phone...deciding to buy the V3 or not anything suggestions????
I am interested in buying the Motorola V80. It looks good butthe reviews are not very good. I will only buy if I get a good price. Anyone wants to sell his phone? contact me at skortovi AT sinfo.net
This is one of the better phones that I have had. I am seriously worried about breaking the joystick on my phone so much that I refuse to put it in my pocket. The lights and everything are very cool and they attract a lot of attention. Also, does anyone know how to set up AIM on my phone? I also use T-Mobile in Colorado and this phone is great.
this phone does not suck...i have bought it, and nothing can be wrong with it...the best motorola in a long time...
Yo this phone is great. The reception is good. Although not better than the sony er..k700 that my wife has. I have no complains. I do not know how the hell people loss or the green joystick falls off!!! The battery last for a decent amount of time. The blue-tooth is great!!
I have had this phone for a month with t-mobile. from 1-10 it is a 8 to 8.5
Had phone 5 weeks joystick fell off
the camera is crap and it scratches very easily. The battery doesn't last long.
waste of time having phone insurance as they want £50 each time I have to send it back in replace of a new one even though its under warranty still.
This phone is a complete piece of crap. The people at motorola lured us with the phones attractive and ingenious swivel design, but left us hanging with its lack of performance ability. It gets no reception. The swivel is smooth, but the screens reaction time to the swivel is slow at best. The camera quality is poor. The placement of the camera lense is not intuitive. The speakerphone is a piece of crap. The battery cover is extremely easy to remove. The phone is easily scratched. The interface is identical to motorolas V300,v400,v525,v600, and probably the next ten models they'll come out with. The screen is dull and lacks the vibrance found in the previous motorola v phones. If you are considering purchasing this phone please continue to look, I dont wish this phone on anyone.
Hey how do i change the title on my display where it says Rogers Wireless, T-Mobile, Etc.. I had a V60i and it went something like *77642* send.... something like that. And i was wondering if you can do it with this phone
Can anybody help me figure out how to set up the browser for tmobile specifications.
Hi i have recently got a v80 and managed to break th screen very easily, the phone is very delicate. Does anyone know where i could get a screen cheap or a donar phone .
