I'm confused and am trying to decide between the v80, and the samsung d410. anyone have any suggestions on which is better?
This phone SUCKS the camera SUCKS teh disign in nice and last but not least MOTOROLA SUCKS really hard.
The view of thit person or person's is not the view of the phonehouse so don't call my boss...
hey guys i was just in england over the past week and my cousin has the v80 and its AWESOME!!! but the thing is that i live in the us and its not out yet. can anyone give me advice as to how i can get my hands on that phone and does anyone know the price. thanks
When a rhythm light session ends the settings return to default, although your sensitivity level should remain =) If you close the phone before the settings can be applied the rhythm lights may not become active. Even though you have to set the time period and pattern for every light display you can create a shortcut on the V80's home screen or via the left/right softkeys.
Glad your impressed with the V80 though! :P
Help! Ive just bought the New Motorola V80 and think its a fab phone But whenever I set the rythm lights it loses the settings that ive made has anyone got any advice?? ive tried for hours (unless you have to set it everytime you want the rythm lights to come on 0 which is a bit silly if you ask me)
Man, that question (whats better - SE K700, N6230, Moto V80 etc) has been asked sooo many times in this forum, if you take the time to look back you will see how people have tried to answer the question as best they can - but it's mostly their opinion which doesn't make it correct. My advice is too read all the reviews of the phones you have selected and find out for yourself which phone best suites your needs and requirements....this is the Moto V80 forum so we will all say the V80 rules. If you have a question or view regarding this phone then feel free to voice it....but these comparison questions are basically unanswerable.....as people in each forum will have a biased opinion!
Does anyone can advice me? which is better moto v80, se k700, SE Z600 or n6230
Thank you so much!
yeh nice 1 dave, probably just a cretin who like the tradtional brick like phones, not unique types, no no, give that boy a big chunky phone to play with, heres the thing, ur in a bar an you pull out your K700 no--one will bat an eyelid, but the V80 will get you noticed!! a fail, lol, sure whatever man.
Which is better, moto v80, se k700 or n6230?
A fail.......well if you think original and amazing design/style is a fail...then your right! I bet your another candybar SE fan....I love the SQUARE edges - NOT! Your comment is pathetic.....if its a "fail" explain how....???
Just another Fail product like v70
Thanks bro Ikemi for your reply, appreciate that. Think this V80 is a good stuff that worth to buy.
-The phone itself is difficult to stratch when in contact with everyday objects. Although to be honest I have never tried to mark the finish ;) The piano black does fingerprint easily, but nothing a wipe with your t-shirt won't resolve.
-The keypad characters are integrated into the buttons themselves so to let the backlight through. There also seems to be a laquer of some sort covering the buttons. I cannot see them wearing off at all.
-Never used the SE K700 so cannot comment on camera quality. Sorry =/
-Haven't downloaded ringtones from any websites. The ringtones supplied on the phone can be set to a range of volumes, one of which is very loud =) I also use mp3 ringtones that I have edited, so I can increase the amplitude to heighten the volume levels if required. All in all ringtones are loud, but as the speaker is positioned on the back of the phones case, if the speaker is in contact with clothing the ringtone can become muffled and quiet. You can still hear the phone though ...
-Reception is great! Although it depends on where you are =)
-For the first couple of charges the phone will drain quickly. This is all part of the Li-Ion conditioning process. Depending on how much you use the phone standby time can vary. I have deactivated the status light and screensaver so after a set period of time the phone looks as if it has turned itself off. It hasn't, but this way the battery lasts longer! I think its been 2-3days and the V80 is on 4/6 (6 being full capacity)
Hope that helps!
How about the ringtones, is it loud and clear when download from the website. Presently my T610 very soft when download ringtones from the website. I also interested to know how is the reception, is it very clear. Does I need to charge very often or does the battery becomes flat very fast? I would appreciate if anybody can help reply. Thanks
Thanks for your reply bro IKEMI. Just want to find out whether this phone is easy scratch and will have lots of fingerprints, is it obvious? About the key pads, after long use of keep on pressing for SMS purpose, will the wordings fade off? How is the photo effect as compare to SEK700?
No problem m8 - Enjoy your new V80 :P
If anyone has more questions to ask regarding the V80 feel free to ask. I will answer as soon as possible!
Cheers Ikemi for yer help mate, I'm defo gonna get the V80 as if feel that video messaging hasn't evolved enough yet to get a video phone plus who would i send it to, I only know one person that has a video phone. The V80 lights show is class. Thanks Buddy!
Steven: In terms of aesthetical appearance the V80 wins hands down! It will certainly draw attention due to the unique design and rotating function, thus improving your street cred, if that's important ;) If you want a cool phone choose design over functionality. The majority of models are loaded with features, but are never actually used. People build an opinion of an item in 9 seconds, so appearance provides a first impression. I'm going to stop rambling now ...
To transfer files such as mp3 ringtones, games and wallpapers you require a USB Bluetooth dongle and Motorola Phone Tools software. Available at www.mobilefun.co.uk for £40 inc. VAT + Delivery.
You can apply a photo, a particular ringtone and a light sequence to an individual person in your phonebook.
DL: The joystick is perfect in terms of sensitivity. However this all depends on your own personal preference.
Hope that helps! =)
Thanks for the reply bro. Quite true with Joystick will face some problem. Presently holding SE T610 but the joystick is very easy to press and sensitive, press up or down to scroll for sms will be so sensitive that it takes it as you press centre of it and action. But I don't know whether V80 have this sensitive problem as T610 cause understand that the joystick for V80 is more difficult to scroll up or down and hope can eliminate this sensitive problem
oh yeh, how do you get mp3s as a ringtone do you need the blutooth or USB??
