ve66 & z10 best slider phone in world
MOTO invents and the others add some spice to it and sell it as their own!!!
one the good side, moto seem to have lesser user-complaints and repairs v.s. other brands.
nokia- heavily repaired all over the world, same with samsung.
LG- incompatibility problems, reported numbers of repairs and so.
SE- quite good, though they have their own world.
hard to find compatible accessories and not the usual memory.
i must say, moto is still doing its job: better voice and background, very sleek design, seamless and elegant (the other company can't even conceptualized of, LoL). However, consumers worldwide are more up to bigger & touch screen (which moto produces a few), and other added apps that really made other phones very pleasingly attractive to all range of consumers. people enjoy more of what they see (screen) and do (apps), than what they can hear (crystaltalk), as a B+ or B- voice may seem ok, but interactive screen, accelerometer, and other bonuses are a plus-plus, and make them crave for.
LIke VE66, which i admire, is really better and sturdy looking, i may say however that just because of the smallish screen, made consumers to be magnetized by phones from samsung or LG (having a fair hardware, but with bonuses), at the same price bracket.
I'm actually a moto fan and user (enjoys my V3*, my old low-end C651 [which has a copy-paste function I like], and now my mid-range E8);
however, if moto would really want to win most of the consumers, they must also try to find out why people go for other brands, even they offer these very well packages of phones.

I'm still keeping my E398 with me and it's almost 5 years now.I bought it in 2004.I have modded it to the max and it's still working good.
Does someone know a link where you can see a video of this mobile?

For those who ever owned E398 (I'm still keeping mine for sure!) would probably agree its music quality outperformed most others at the same time back in 2004. Its stereo speakers still remain one of the best these days.

And was it around 2004/05 when Moto started to offer "USB charging" on its E680/V3? How many years have taken other makes to offer "USB charging"? I don't think such is anything really high tech, but certainly a very convenient feature for most who have a computer.

I've just read all the positive opinions and must be missing something here. What is all the excitement about with this phone? There are many models with equivalent propositions available since 2007 from other ODM's. Nothing Earth-shattering here as far as I can see.
