Can it saves .midi or .amr that are on the web?
what's airtel live someone of you was talking about?
Hi
how can i put files (jpeg, ringtones) on it? And can i put AMR on it? And listen to it?
Can anyone tell me, i've just bought this phone and when i receive messages they arn't storing in the inbox. The inbox is completely empty so i can't reread them. Once i've read them they are gone. Same goes for sending them, i can send them and although the "save sent messages" feature is on, it isn't showing them in the outbox. I'm very dissappointed as i think the phone is faulty. Can someone tell me whats happened??
Please help..
i bought this phone only 2 days ago and now finding that whenever i call or vice versa, i hear some thing very cheap, a loud echo. and its really sad that its just third day for me with this phone. Overall the phone is very stylish with some very good features.
To Vikas:
I sent an email to Moto helpline for AMR clarifications few days ago. I received the email now stated that AMR can be played BUT it CANNOT be used as RINGTONE on W220! How ironic!!! It plays yet it cannot be used as a ringtone. I hope they release a second software patch for this major flaw in software design.
Regarding Contacts storage:
The W220 mobile supports storage for multiple Information per contact provided you store the contact using Phone memory instead of Sim memory which only supports 1 number. Procedure of storing multiple information on a contact:
1. Store a new contact using the Phone memory.(with name & number) OR Copy current contact to Phone memory(Move Original).
2. Once created OR moved to Phone memory, view the contact under “Entry Details”.
3. Press “Option” and select “New”.
4. Select “Add Number” for additional new numbers for Mobile, Office, Fax, Home OR “Add Text” for information related like Note, Email id, Postal address & Web address.
5. Then Save the changes you created. That’s it, now you have stored multiple info for a single contact.
Note: The “first created” number in the contact will be the default when you dial the contact on your mobile regardless of multiple numbers stored per contact.
i m going to buy it, what ur opinion i should buy it or not.

yes u r right .... AMR file format is comparitivly 10-15 times smaller than mp3 because of lower bitrate playing and frqency of music file.... also phone has approx. 634 kb memory... out of which approx. 120 kb is taken by the software .... the processing power of the phone is also too slow ... so it is difficult or impossible to play large bitrate files like mp3 in the phone media player ..... thats why.... they hav given a small memory in the phone .....it does not support pc connectivity ... u hav to transfer the file via GPRS.... thats the only solution......
Anybody please guide me how to connect to net, what are the internet options available in this phone.

To set date/time you need to go to Time and date under settings/intial setup and then untick 'auto adjustment' then the date/time change buttons appear. Took me a while to figure it out!
