i can listen to more than 50 songs continously if the battery is fully charged. battery performance depends on how you use your unit, fully draining your battery is not good. i am not saying w230 has a very good battery but it's not that bad either.. IMHO.

I have several questions for you.
1.How is the mp3/ringtone quality? Is it loud enough to be eared in busy road traffic?
2.What is the earphone model number that comes in the box?
3.Are the earphones good enough? I mean are they painful to be inserted in ears?
4.What is the battery life you got while using all the features(mp3,fm,messaging etc)?
Please answer

I purchased this phone from Global Access in Bangalore on Feb 25. I am repenting my decision every day. Do not buy if you have ever used a Nokia. The user interface on Motorola W230 YUVA is Disastrous to say the least. Many menu commands do not work. For example Recent Calls > select > view > store does not respond. There are many such commands which simply do not respond. When you enter a contact, it comes up with dictionary mode to enter name! Messaging is a tedious experience. To put a full stop it takes seven key strokes! Very unpredictable behavior. Music player is so-so. You cannot select a song and expect it to continue to play from there on. You need to press PLAY button every time a song gets over, manually select next and press PLAY! There is no missed call list. You have to look at the received call list and look for which ones are checked and which ones are not to figure out missed calls. Every day i am finding a new anomaly in this phone. Motorola needs to update its user interface, it is pre-historic user interface Keys strokes respond very slowly. Takes ages to type. Just to type ‘no’ it takes more than 2seconds. Motorola does not respond to emails to customer care. No response to any complaints anywhere. I want to sell it for half the price.
Good Luck
Can anyone please tell the following:
> Can 'Groups' be made in this phone?
> The maximum contacts that can be placed in each group?
> Can we send messages to these groups?
the battery isn't really poor. it functions just like any other rechargeable battery. it has to go through a lot of charge/discharge cycles before it reaches its maximum potential, although with the w230's batt, it DOES seem to take more time. just be patient.
i can say this confidently because there are two w230's in our house, and the older one (i'd say by about a month) has a longer battery life than the newer one. it goes through two whole days of heavy usage before draining.
JhoBitMore, 10 Sep 2008Im starting to lost my temper with this phone..I bought a memory for it but everytime i switch... moreyou have to put in the right folder.
