WhatsApp rolls out multiple accounts support on Android for all

WhatsApp Android Apps

WhatsApp already lets you use the same account on multiple smartphones, but now you can use two different accounts on the same smartphone if it's running Android. This feature - which Telegram had for years - was available for WhatsApp's beta users for some time, but it's only now rolling out to the stable channel.

Having the ability to run two different WhatsApp accounts at the same time on the same smartphone will eliminate the need for users to carry two smartphones or use the app clone feature.

How to set up multiple WhatsApp accounts on the same phone?

To set up the second WhatsApp account, you'll (obviously) need a second phone number and SIM card or a phone with multi-SIM or eSIM support. However, if your second SIM card is on a different device, you should still be able to set up the second WhatsApp account as long as you can receive the security code for login.

Once you have that sorted, you can go to WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to your name, click "Add account," and follow the instructions.

WhatsApp says you can control your privacy and notification settings for both accounts separately.

We are running the latest version of WhatsApp on our Android devices but don't see the option to set up a second account, meaning it will be at least a week or two before this feature reaches all Android users worldwide.
