i used a lot of mobiles .but whn i get that nec e 808 mobile .i m enjoying .it have a lot of functions .when ever i go on my tour i never bored coz i v e 808 mbl .if any one help me to send me the manual of e 808 coz i lost it i l pray for it and i l be very grateful to him or her '

I had an earlier NEC mobile Merury and it was best phone ever made! The new one e808 is also good (full keyboard, large screen, difficult to lose it), but it seems when in roaming mode, loses or drops signal/reception.
Perhaps, if properly set, is again good phone. I was trying to set it up via USB cable but no sucess.
I do have original CD with drivers and manuals, sometimes they dont have stuff that I need. A bit suspicious?

If you do want a 3G mobile phone, I recommend that you get the LG 8120. The NEC e808 is of an obsolete design with the size being the same as a palm-top or PDA. I have to say that I have seen phones with the same or more options as these (mainly the Samsung ones) but they are a third of the size.

i thing that this mobile is good but is too biger then a a new mobile in this days.i thing that nobody will buy this telephone.

I liked this fone for the first month and finally realised its lack of service and reliability. Most of the time, it's on USIM Card Error and you can't receive any calls (You don't realise when it goes to USIM Card Error)or anything. And for audio files...It only supports WMA Files that are less than 3 MB in size. I needed atleast 5 or 6 third party software to transfer anything into the fone from my PC. The camera is blurry, the video lags WAY too much and I find it absolutely useless and an ideal construction brick. I got rid of the thing and got a camera-less Nokia 3100 (atleast its a fone, NOT a brick that u can't make calls with...).

It's a very good phone , the sound is great, the screen is big and it has a lot of functions, i'm sorry that he has a mediocre camera :-( and that the memory isn't upgradeable. who knows how to download some games on the NEC to contact me at the YM ID : myself_7c :-)

I am from Maldives. I am using NEC e808 mobile phone.It is an excellent phone. Very good functions. Ideal in size. Very attractive design. The only difficulty I am having is to buy a new battery pack.I couldn't get from Singapore or Bangkok. So could you pls supply me a new attery pack. If so, pls inform me price and and your deleverey procedure.

I have just bought a NEC e808 phone. It is an excellent phone. size OK, user friendly, and a lot of functions. Now I wanrt to buy 1 spare battery pack. and a ribbon cable. for this phone Therefore pls quote including postal charge to Male' Maldives. Also 1 pc. ribbon cable.

My wife said, the phone is like her compact powder. Can not play the audio files and voice recorder. Can not download ringtunes, etc. Now, after 4 months the charger is "dead" does not work at all. Try to call many times to Accord NEC service centre at Spencer St, Melbourne but no one answer only computer answered for 15 minutes. I am really desperade. Anyone can help me to get a new/used charger for my MEC e808. Thanks.

it looks like someone got a brick, made it a bit thinner,folded it in half, added lots of electronic stuff into it and then put it on the market.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
