Xiaomi Android Rumors

With all the leaks floating about lately, the release date of the Xiaomi Mi 10 series was one of the few missing details. Now, a fresh new scoop offers an alleged official schedule of events.

As per the source, the J1J1 and J1J2 - the official model numbers of the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, respectively, will first be mentioned by the company in an event announcement on February 7. Said event is expected to take place on February 13. Considering the current tense situation surrounding the Corona virus, as well as a recent official statement by Black Shark co-founder and CEO Luo Yuzhou, the launch event will most-likely be online-only.

As for sales and actual device availability, the event will definitely offer a concrete timetable. For now, the source claims that sales for the regular Mi 10 will go live on February 14. As for the Mi 10 Pro, a pre-order campaign may kick-off as early as February 10, with a CNY 100 deposit. Mi 10 Pro units should then start shipping out on February 18.

There are still some unknowns when it comes to the specs of both upcoming devices. Most leaks seem to agree on a 108MP Samsung main camera on both, with the Pro sporting one extra snapper. The Pro will also likely feature a 6.4-inch, FullHD+, 120Hz OLED panel, a Snapdragon 865 with up to 16GB of RAM. Plus, a 5,250 mAh battery, with a 66W fast charger and a full top-up time of just 35 minutes.

That would be a deal breaker for me. I want a AMOLED display, 5g, nfc as a minimum.

That's why Samsung, Huawei, and Apple make their flagship with different size (vanila, pro, max). Xiaomi kills Max series and limiting the MIX series.
