Sony Xperia 1 V coming on May 11
Sony is gearing up to announce its next Xperia smartphone on May 11. The company posted a teaser video for the launch event which is scheduled to begin at 1PM Japan time (4AM UTC) on the second Thursday of May. Sony's YouTube channel will host a livestream for the launch event and you can already reserve your spot.
We’re expecting to see the long-awaited Xperia 1 V which was seen in a scarce number of leaks over the last months. We can expect a familiar design in line with previous models in the Xperia 1 lineup.

Based on rumors, the phone will launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and it could be the thinnest phone to boast this SoC. We’re also expecting a triple camera setup with rumored 12MP main, 12MP periscope and 48MP ultrawide sensors.
