Verizon has started rolling out a new update to Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge units on its network. The update is aimed at fixing a software bug that triggers "unintentional device Factory Data Reset (FDR) after multiple failed attempts to use a fingerprint to unlock the device."
With the update, it will now take as many as 15 failed unlock attempts for the device to initiate a FDR - users will have 10 tries to unlock the device using their fingerprint, and 5 tries to use their back-up PIN or password.
The update bumps the software version to MMB29K.G920VVRU4CPF2 for the Galaxy S6 and MMB29K.G925VVRU4CPF2 for the edge variant.
It doesn't work After finishing the boot nothing is changed and after turning the phone on it redownloads the updates What can i do ?
This seems to be unique to Verizon. But iOS has had many bugs, like making your phone crash when you click on a link, which is absolutely insane.
wow thats only 10 behind apple.
