I'm on AT&T. I have not received an update since purchasing the G3 in July. Phone runs great, but will they not push this update out like other carriers? Is the LG Tool mentioned only for those who want the update early?
i got this update on the weekend im in UK and am i the only person that is getting worse battery life since this update. I did factory reset after like normal and when on 4g it jus drains. Example from 100% to 99% it now takes 11mins screen on time where before it would be 25-30mins to loose 1%. I noticed that andriod os is always high now round 20% and keeps the phone awake where before this was never the case i have the phone set up as before with all same apps installed and disabled etc.
Anyone else having these issues? Gonna wait till weekend and still the same gonna do another factory reset.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2014lol what a crap phone how many software updates do they have to release for a phone to work ok... moreNot true. I bought a LG G3 since the day it became available in stores and I haven't had a problem with this phone since prior updates (i.e. Application FC). From my experience updates has only ENHANCED performance (better battery life). Fantastic phone by the way.
Not a LG fanboy but base on my opinions on my personal user experience.
Look like the same update as LG L9 II last week. After update greatly increased battery life and UI response. It runs on the same Android version 4.4.2.
I have been using LG G3 since 1st September.I am very happy since day one.Regarding latest update there are no notable changes for your eyes but the response time and battery back up have increased a lot.I don't understand why people talk more about 4.4.4 update when we are getting all the features in the current state.Nice Mobile form LG.
lol what a crap phone how many software updates do they have to release for a phone to work ok ? lg always rushes out phones and then u have buggy interface they have to update for many months... dont understand how people can waste money on lg..
why would they concentrare on updating to 4.4.4, when they will have to build the Lollipop update? Oh Android 4.4.4 is out! (the next day) Oh look Lollipop update just came out. 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 are not even updates to consider, they are so small...
UI Was indeed improved, have seen no data lose, apart from some apps that have had their shortcut deleted but no big deal to put them back. Battery does seem to last longer under heavy use, getting around 10 hours now, as opposed to the 9 I had before the update. All in all a good update, still a little sad that it's not on 4.4.4 but swings and roundabouts.
Currently, been having a great time with how g3 works. great performance and screen resolution. Buttons at the back made my life easier as well though initially made me think twice. battery went better, camra is wonderful with addtl functions like the selfie mode. Screen size large enough but easy to hold due to thin bezel. Couldn't ask for more, its a true beauty.
