FYI LG Optimus G was updated to KITKAT long time ago while samsung S3 is just recently.
ITS A FACT! that not all phones are able to be updated to every latest OS version. so what is your big problem?
LG smartphones is getting even better than your phone.
only lg provides the latest OS version to their LOW END phones like L- 3, L4 series and other.

To be honest I have always had Samsung, well apart from a time when I was stupid and bought an iPhone and I can quite honestly say that this is the best phone I have ever had so far.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2014ah yeah LG is the fastest growing mobilephone maker. currently the no.2 in Android just be... moreanon.. better get a life.. it is a fact that lg screwed most of its phone before first half of 2012. since optimus G i agree that lg is improving. but what about the previous phones? surely most of those people like me would not buy a lg phone again due to poor experience. it is not only about updates. the stock os was full of bugs too.

If Android is just about the newest models, than this is very disappointing and I have to give a + there for the i-stuff.
And Google would have to get stricter re. support for older (1year) old phones.

Sony's z series is slightly younger than LG's G series. When Sony announces lollipop for all phones of z series,all phones od g series should also get it.

Hmmm! I hope this is true given the G3 is still on 4.4.2 at present. Hoping for the jump over 4.4.4 to 5.0 but will believe it when it happens, not before. LG is usually so tardy with updates and I am not convinced.......yet!
