First of all.. for those of you moaning about storage options comparing to ipad... iPad apps use about 3x storage space then the average android application (games excluded) something like google+ on android is about 20mb and on iPad its 100mb+
secondly, streaming services are amazing... we have google play movies, netflix, bbc iPlayer and a host of 3rd party streaming services. Google play music is one of the best music apps ive used on any device, with an iPhone/iPad you still have to connect to a physical pc to download music to the device. google play music allows you to "pin" tracks to the device over the air and then gives you the option to stream the rest of your library
Finally, i would recommend ipad if you are into video production as they are far ahead in that game. but in the rest android tablets as of 5.0 (been on the dev previews since july) have caught up in performance, fluidity. and the next generation of material design apps will be flooding to the market

Android need expansion because:
1. all apps share the same data.
2. android lacks good streaming options. None of the streaming options on android is any good. So most people still load songs / videos / pictures into sd slots.
This make these nexus devices so limiting. So what if it has one of the best processor when it cannot fully be utilised?

This isnt a Sony or Samsung but a Nexus, a Google device, the company fighting against expandable storage in every way they can, including crippled memory card support since KK.

I too would love to know why devices from Google don't have larger capacity options. Perhaps to force us to use on line storage which can be monitored? Obviously this is just a guess. Does anyone know why?

I remember getting an e-mail about my pre-order form Amazon France and there shipment is also delayed. So probably more demand via Google Play so they're cutting down shipments to 3rd party sellers.

Sadly there are countries where the devices section of play store isn't available, so for example that's a pretty good reason to care about the delays of Amazon delivery :)
