Dovice, 28 Oct 2014I am surprised this was not done years ago. It takes no revolution in technology. I saw a 5mm ... moreMaybe its to do with advancement..Slowly increase GHz,RAM,MP,screen density etc..If they suddenly release all there top tech it game over for a long while.Release tech slowly making money on the way.

The biggest thing is battery and why smartwatches are failing,,the tech is sort of there its either nuclear or flammable liquid there is only so much at present that you can squeeze out of lithium. There is lots of tech on the way but most still in labs.

Stop focusing on screens, on dpi, keep at 5.2 with 1080 for now, its more than enough.
About cpu clocks, 2.0 GHz is fine, 2.7 GHz is a waste. Give me battery, a good long lasting battery.

I am surprised this was not done years ago. It takes no revolution in technology. I saw a 5mm thin LG OLED TV in John Lewis the other day, and whilst that does not have a battery inside, in the 1970s and early 80s, Sinclair had a tiny TV and other gadgets that used a Polaroid like ultra thin battery. (Approx 1.5 mm 'thick'). And both Samsung and LG have shown flexible OLED displays for years now, so allowing for electronics already being paper thin, a 1.5mm thick battery and the display, this is easy. I actually thought we would have flexible 1.5mm phones or electronic notepads by now. It was even rumored that the Note 3 (3, not 4) was going to be ultra thin and flexible, but yield issues got in the way of the dream.

Let's see what Apple do for the iPhone 7.

Once we got down to 7-8mm, anything skinnier than that is kind of pointless. Just make phones with bigger batteries.

Pretty soon they'll be so thin they'll be considered possible weapons :))
But seriously now, i wouldn't want a phone that slim. I imagine how HOT it will get. This would affect the hardware + battery. (Just my opinion )

Veronica, 27 Oct 2014I see the new bendgate andere horrible battery life. This is sick, make the phones thicker ... moreThis is an OPTION. You dont have to buy it. Also bendgate was because of aluminium, which can bend very easily.
