And thes falling profits further compell them to steal from buyers. For example, take note 4- the price of note 4 in India is 58,300($970) whereas when checked on the import database of indian customs they are importing note 4 at a price of roughly 26,000 ($433) per piece.

And then comes the disaster phone s5. Which saw a price drop from 53 to 35 within 1.5-2 months. Soon they willbe buried to death if they remain confident on their ugly touchwiz. Hope to see HTC and Xiaomi grow to heights :)

They still made a profit of $4 billion. Not too shabby. there are many companies out there wishing they could make $4 billion in revenue.

With current Samsung mobile lineup sales will be lower or if lucky same. Don't see any huge product that will improve things for Samsung. Galaxy S5 was suppose to bring sales up but that pretty much failed. Note 4 isn't the only one in the game anymore. They were first but didn't know how to take advantage of it. Samsung gear is a joke of a product line. Tablets I have one and probably won't buy another for a very long time. In honesty nothing Samsung offers makes me want to go out of my way and buy one. Really hope they come up with something cool they have so much cash they are sitting on. It's only better for the consumers if they can come up with something cool.

A series are definitely better looking than the current offering though its shameless copy of apples design.

Considering Sammys shady processes , we cant trust its BOM.

I am sure if sammy gets its components from non-samsung vendors , its BOM will be significantly less.

django, 30 Oct 2014BS argument.. having less margin doesnt mean that they are not taking your money.. buyers ... moreOf course they are taking our money.
But the BOM of Samsung phones is ALWAYS higher than iPhones. Samsung use THE LAST MOST EXPENSIVE DISPLAYS and components. That means less profit for Samsung, and MORE PROFIT FOR THE CONSUMERS. Right?

Samsung mobiles are extremely overpriced. Even a die hard sammy fan ( if they have any ) cant refuse .

In India galaxy s5 got released for 53K .. now the official price is 37k.
in 6 months official price drop is 30%

Worse is within a month price got dropped by 35% .

Due to hefty price, they loss the battle...Note 4 came out in india for rs=60000($1000)and same configuration Lenovo z2 pro with dual sim selling rs=32999($500),this is way samsung loses.
People of India alway judge well.india is one of biggest consumer market in world.in future days samsung should take of their prices, should launch high end mobile with dual sim with reasonable prices to survive in india.........

146% agree!!! not against handsets themselves, but front panel logo crosses any single wish to buy it. every Smag phone looks sadly same, even flagmans.

People arent so easy to be brainwashed by big paper specs anymore, device need to also deliver in real life use and samsung phones just cant, not even note 4 http://youtu.be/s2PAcFkDku0 horrible performance, fps is around 20fps most of the time=unplayable. You would expect most expensive android phone to do little bit better...

Im not surprised that samsung is going down with their laggy devices. From this on its only downhill for samsung and their best days are behind.
