The phones you are comparing are not comparable at all.
One is (at best) a match for the 2013 flagships. The other is outperforming todays flagships (thus making itself, in a way, a flagship device).
Midrange performance has a midrange price. Flagship performance always fetches a premium.

Samsung is dead in India.No one buys Samsung.Every one is going and purchasing Micromax,LG,Sony,HTC.Brand value has tanked.Even I purchased Micromax 2 week back.I am Total Samsung Fan and I can afford anything but no Samsung for now in Mobile,there mobile strategy will tank them in Electromics soon.Samsung shpuld Fire their CEO and remove there logo on the front of the device.

eversince 2012 Samsung kept repeating its boring desig in all of its ridiculously high numbered offerings to the point that it was hard to distinguish the models. on the other hand samsung used to be famous for solid timely updates to its products but that changed this year as well since they ditched KitKat for their former flagship the S3 (only the main international model but that model was that one that had sold the most) and many other similar stories as well. All and all it led to samsung losing it to the market while folks at China where learning it quick. with the Note 4 and the A series Sammy is trying to say his sorry but lets see if it will work.

Only because of their greed. How greedy they are!!! I get amazed seeing the price of Galaxy Alpha. Poor quality phone with only 1.5GB of RAM costs more than 600€. They got ebola from Apple. They think their fansung are too blind like iSheeps that they will buy the poor end spec phone with huge amount of money.!!! No more dictatorship. Now people can compare, calculate everything.

So I was saying 1,5 years ago they will follow HTC next year. So that's happened. It's not Apple. People were buying Samsung not because it's Samsung. Completely inadequate pricing policy on phones and tablets, withdrawn from notebook sector, unclear model rows in TV and monitors.
Google will help HTC in US, no doubts, but outside it, they will suffer even more than before. Even flying in a dive management keep pushing their mistakes and blindly believes they doing everything right. Nexus 9 is stupidly expensive, so as HTC low and mid ranges.
Both keep stepping on same Nokia rakes believing they are irreplaceable on the market and they can insist on every price and people just should buy everything they offer.
That's killed Nokia when switch to WP was too late.

You know what's the problem with samsung? Couple of years ago samsung shines because they offer a great spec product at the right price. Now that they become bigger and bigger, they think they can now charge alot from their device like apple. Thats why! Cos now here's oppo xiaomi to replace them. Poor samsung.
And one more is that they bash other brand just to prove they're the best. Look what happened now samsung? There's a saying that what goes around comes back around. Now you're the one who's doomed!

See all these guys shouting for Samsung to go down and fail.... you don't understand that less competition in the market is going to be very bad for the consumer, particularly if the remaining competition are Chinese companies.
I read recently that some Chinese smartphone maker was caught sending user info back to servers in China.

Hey Samsung wake up ... If you srill continue not to support all of your products ... Say good bye becuase people are not dumb to buy you super laggy overprice smartphone anymore with the same design as always and a garbage ui ...stop being so money hungry ... Update your firmwares to the latest ... I've been thinking to leave you if you still continue this chaos.... Also listen to your costumer's opinion.... Its not to late.

Second ,- Samsung selling more phones now, and having not so HUGE profit per handset (no matter of the high price) , MEANS that Samsung phones are GREAT with newest tech, and THAT SAMSUNG DOESN'T RIP-OFF US.
And that is what matters for us, the normal consumers.
